A hoe crawler has a larger hyd pump, a diverter valve on the back of the loader valve box, pressure and return lines to hook the hoe up, and should have the rotating and elevating hoe seat. Also, even though they look the same from the outside, the mounts are not the same. A regular loader crawler h...

If it weighs 4000 lbs, you will never keep the front end on the ground. I have had guys tell me that a 350 is light on the front with one on.
Also keep in mind, if your 440 was not a hoe crawler from the factory, it is not capable of carrying a hoe.

The number you are reading is the loader serial number, not the crawler serial number. The one you are looking for is on the RH front corner of the engine block.

Bill,
Hope to try out the die later this week. The sheetmetal parts should be all cut this week, then it is trial and error in getting the die just right.

You need to remove what is left of your throwout tube and install a new one. At the same time, remove the throwout bearing holder and clean it up to remove all the rust. Install a new throwout bearing and make sure that the holder will slide in and out on the throwout tube with just hand pressure ea...

Grousers on a loader crawler are extremely hard on undercarraige, rollers, steering clutches, etc. If you never operate in anything but soft sand, or pure mud, then you would be okay.

Could be an adjustment, but if it died suddenly, I would guess the teeth are gone off the clutch discs. This is a real common deal if the reverser has been shifted without using the clutch. If the crawler you have was not a hoe crawler originally, you do not have the correct mount, pump, or plumbing...

You can have a serial number research done through the Two Cyinder Club, but I do not know how much info it will give you.

That is exactly what they do when using the 9/16" rollers on the 1/2" bolts. Only difference, is the ones they used to send with are steel, probably like conduit. I think there are just slightly too long so they crush when the bolts are tightened.

Man, when you do it, you do it up right, no just rolling it off the sprocket a little bit.
