Re: Tranny oil for a 450b
Schaffers Simplex 315 Data sheet says it is a UTHF and meets John Deere J20C among specs for other manufacturers, so it should be suitable to use. John Deere changed the name "Service" Manual to "Technical" Manual after the 450. So if you have a 450B it is a Technical Manual, there is no service man...

Re: trannys
I don't think you are going to find many, if any, videos of adjusting the transmission. As pearljam724 post I think you need the correct technical manual for your machine (TM1033 for a 450B). You will need to study it and get the gauges required to test the pressures. Like adjusting steering clutche...

Re: 450b capacty data and spec sheet
There are a number of models missing if you were to go through all the types of equipment on that site. It could be things were nearly the same, it could be someone just didn't bother to enter every model. The 450B would be similar to the 450.

Re: Tranny oil for a 450b
Your manuals likely call for using John Deere 303 Special Purpose Oil in the HLR transmission and the hydraulic system. Printed service and Operator's manuals don't get updated, unfortunately. You need to use John Deere Hy Gard or a UTHF (Universal Tractor Transmission Hydraulic Fluid) meeting the J...

Re: 1965 JD 350 Crawler
Welcome to the Boards. The firing order is 1-2-3 around the outer posts of the distributor cap, with the coil wire in the center post. # 1 cylinder is the one closest to the radiator. Over the years distributors get removed and reinstalled, not always in the location shown in pictures, so you need t...

Your manuals likely call for using John Deere 303 Special Purpose Oil in the reverser. Printed service and Operator's manuals don't get updated, unfortunately. You may know this but in case you haven't heard it you need to use John Deere Hy Gard or a UTHF meeting the JDM J20C specification, in place...

Re: 831 bucket tooth.
I would see what they might have available for similar teeth if those aren't available. CAT, Case. or other equipment dealer might have something that will fit. ESCO and Hensley are a couple major aftermarket players as well. You might not find a direct bolt up match, you might just need to drill di...

If no one here comes along with an answer, I see there is a Yanmar Owners Group website, you might try asking over there. From the location it looks like it might have something to do with the rockshaft travel, but that is just a guess.

Re: Backhoe
You can download Construction and Forestry equipment operator manuals for free at: https://www.johndeeretechinfo.com/ Here are 3 manuals you might want to download and check out to see what matches your backhoe. OMT33825 for the 93A and 95A attachments, OMU40033 for the 93 and 95 attachments, and OM...

Re: 450 diff/ final drive
My error on the neutral position in the range transmission, doesn't look like the 450s had it as a position in the shift quadrant. I don't know when they added it, my 450E has a "N" between 3rd and 4th. I don't know if you can find the sweet spot between gears, there has to be one between each gear ...

Re: Backhoe
Is the swing operated by a rotary cylinder, not two opposing cylinders? The problem is likely wear in that rotary cylinder not as much the control valve. You also say the hoe assembly can slide side to side. It sounds like a model 95 or 95A backhoe attachment. It would have had an ID tag on it origi...

Re: Can someone shine a light on this ?
Admittedly there are parts that are No Longer Available (NLA), but many are available between new and used. Use the parts catalog to find the part numbers and search using the number with the name in the parts catalog. I have better luck doing that than searching for 1965 John Deere 450 part by name...
