pump sealed up and installed

Got my pump in and it is working great! now to change the oil and I can quit worrying about the hydraulic/engine oil intermix. Not that that was too big a deal(same oil) just my engine oil dipstick is 3 inches overfull!

Next step, replacing the leaking rams...

yes they are. I guess those bearings are used in 99-06 harleys for the cams.
I told my buddy with a harley that his bearings will prob last 64 years or so..

Mc hydralic pump

So I gotta 2 piece pump that I was going to use to for my crawler. Unfortunately I have a 3 piece pump and the fittings are completely different. I removed the 3 piece pump and found the input shaft seal blown out and the bearing rollers falling out when I pulled the seal out. So all I gotta do is r...

Re: oil

vtjoe wrote:what about the engine oil?
I run any synthetic DIESEL oil. They have a higher zinc content and Help with flat tappet cams.

If you rebuild any flat tappet cam, make sure the oil you break it in with has the zinc so the cam won't wear out too fast.

Oil is cheap, engine parts aren't

Battery

I would also endorse the deere battery, spendy, but works good. I personally will never use a interstate battery on any of my vehicles again. worked great for 1.5 years then it quit. warranty was a pain itn the a**! they are supposed to have "free replacement for the first two years". But the rep sa...

Source o rust

I figgured the rust came from a couple o- places. one being the fuel shutoff being changed and I believe the screen being rattled around. the other is the air intake tube gasket was missing a piece on the top, you could see a rusty trail running down the gasket face. he plows snow with it so I could...

FOUND IT!!

I managed to get up to my dads house to look at this old girl. Compression was 100lbs on each side. I checked spark- sweet on both sides. swapped plugs- same old. pulled the intake tube off the front of the carb with it running, rust evident in the bores. while it was running i sprayed starting flui...

more info

According to pops he has swapped plugs side 2 side, wires side to side an he thinks its in the engine. No compression test has been done yet, dad can't find his tester. The head was literally cleaned of any gasket material and slapped on as a unit, no disassembly. Just to clarify, the crank was cut,...

Rt brake adjust? 1950 mc

All right! Call me a dummy! Left track can be pulled gradually and smoothly. Right is either on or off drive when pulled back all the way. I looked thru the mc manual I can't make heads or tails of the pics. I figure it must be a band adjustment.... Anyone got any pics ? Maybe a link to a site that ...

My crawler has a 3 piece pump on it, complete with previous brazing repair. an my craiglist find is a 2 piece pump. Has anyone else ever swap...
