40c sideframe bushing

Anybody know where I can get a TE239YT Bushing that goes in the side frame where it bolts to the clutch housing?

Re: Where to get parts?

Glad you found one. Lavoy is a good source for a lot of parts especially running gear. However, once in a while you have to pay a high price for a specific part if you really need/want it. You probably could have cobbled together a standard fitting plus some adapters but all in all probably would ha...

Re: Distance from rear crossbar to center of rear axle

Glen, That makes sense. Mine measures about 13" and the sprocket was hitting on the roller before I moved the roller temporarily. 14" would probably give me enough clearance to install the safety block which I never have been able to do. Just leaving for the sunny south but I will tear it apart when...

Re: Distance from rear crossbar to center of rear axle

Steve, Thanks for going to the trouble. It's great to have another piece of info for the puzzle. You should get your 40 out and exercise it. Don't want it to get lazy. Happy New Year!

Re: Distance from rear crossbar to center of rear axle

Thanks Lavoy. You are probably right about the side frame nuts. They just look like standard nuts instead of the tapered ones that should be used. I'll see how the holes are when I get it apart. Does it matter if I use the earlier studs or the later 9/16" cap screws (whichever will fit)? I assume I ...

Re: Distance from rear crossbar to center of rear axle

Thanks Steven. The sprocket always ran a little too close to the roller, in fact there wasn't any room for a safety block so something may have moved just enough to allow the sprocket to hit the roller 1/4" would have done it. So much has been modified and butchered on this old rig over the years th...

Re: Distance from rear crossbar to center of rear axle

Don't know if it should be the same but mine only measures about 13". Anybody have a 40 4 roller that they can measure?

Distance from rear crossbar to center of rear axle

Working in the woods about a month ago, with my 40c 4 roller, and rear sprocket started hitting on 4th roller. I moved the roller ahead to another hole on the frame to get it out of where I was. Can someone tell me the correct measurement from the rear crossbar to the center of the axle. I suspect t...

Re: 420C Carburetor

According to a chart that I have, TSX245 was used on the 320 and the 420 calls for a TSX641. Since the 420 has a larger displacement and more power any of the earlier carbs would probably limit it's power.
