They are a nice little hoe

We converted one of these to mount on our 350C widepad dozer machine as the deere hoe is too heavy to do any dozer work when mounted. We did have to put a larger hydraulic pump on as the hoe was fairly slow acting with the dozer only pump. After the pump change it worked very well. It had enought po...

Kijiji Ontatio

There are a few 450C's in ontatio if you look on Kijiji. I have a potential customer offer me $9K for a real nice 450C here in Edmonton Alberta as there was one Ontatio for $9K and $10,500. I am holding firm at $12.5 so he was out of luck. I bid a real nice 350C up to $16K last year at auction to pu...

Is it really a "C"?

Alot of times people will put on a "C" series decal. Check under the seat to see what type of steering it has in it. If the steering clutch handles are connected to a valve on top of the transmission it is a "C", if has power assist between the steering clutch housings and the clutch levers it would...

Clutch Adjustment

Do you have any free play on the throughout bearing. Reach down and see if you can rotate it by hand.

Undercarriage - What is the condition

I would do a real good assessement on the undercarriage. You need to find out what % the rails and sprokets are as they are very hard to get. The last set of 90% rails i had for sale were sold for $2,000 cash and I wished I would have kept them for one of our keepers. Just sold a good set of 350 cha...

Is it a C

Best to look under the seat to verify it is a C. I never trust a decal or a serial number. A C model will have the steer cluch handles conneced direcly to a valve on the rear of the transmission / rear end housing. If it is connected to the steering clutch housings, it is not a C. C's do rarely give...

Quick Linkage Fix

I have seen a few machines with poor linkage that were fixed with a cutting torch or a grinder. Simple cut away part of the guard surounding the T handle so that you can move the lever farther. If you are not worried about restoring your crawler you could go this route.

Nice To See Your Doing It Safe

I see you have your loader blocked up on both sides, plus each one is tied on so they can't fall off.

We usually only do one side and always tie them on like you have done.

Small Backhoes

Best bang for your buck will be a attachment off a small trencher, such as a Ditch Witch, Vermeer or Case. Make sure you go for one with stabilizers. We have put both adapted both a Ditch Witch and a Case attachment for a 350 dozer. We don't like to have to remove the hoe for doing dozing work, so t...

C's Don't Usually Take On Water

We do alot of work in the muskeg and have a pair of 350C's and a 450C Widepads with hoes. We don't put our 450G hoe cat in the muskeg as it is much heavier. The C models don't usually take on water unless you have poor gaskets on top of the transmission, steering clutches or steering valves. It take...

Nice Pics

We often put the crawler in gear and then use the backhoe to push the machine out, but it looks like you are in pretty deep.

Any chance water any water made it into your steering clutches, final drives or hydraulics?

It Will Fit

It is the same winch, however you will need the attachment ears. These could be fairly expensive to get from Deere, unless you can find a used set.

Just Finished Fixing The Rental Return

Not sure how our ace operators did it, but i just handed in a $1,600 bill for damage done to this once nice 450C. I only charged $75 per hour for labour and prices from Brandt Tractor for the parts. My dad had all the parts in stock so now I will have to replace them. They must have been running it ...

Parts Prices

I would be more than happy to pay the full fair on the pads when i get around to restoring one of our lindemans. Whats the cost for a new pad for a 350 or 450 deere for comparision purposes. If you are spending the time and effort restoring a lindeman then new pads shouldn't be an issue. I am going ...
