Re: john deere 350 dozer
Did you put one fiber past the snap ring? Bought a 350 cheap once because someone didn't and they couldn't adjust it.

Press fit but it may re-hold after cleaning with a little thread lock on it.

Re: John Deere 440 icd advice
Pull the rear bung on the reverser, put it in 4th gear, and start it with the clutch in. Let the clutch out (while stopping movement of the tractor any way you can except pulling steering clutches). If the guts in the reverser spin then it is the finals. If they don't move it is either the reverser ...

Re: Help with wiring
If it is hot only when you turn the key to "start" then it probably came off the starter solenoid.

Do you have the heat baffles installed (p. 40 and 41 of parts book)?

Re: 350B Final Drive Gearing
Here's the conundrum: Repair the bad side and it will change the direction it pulls to, assuming the other side has at least some wear. Both sides need to have the same amount of wear. Either fix it right or put up with it. As long as you can adjust the tracks it will work for you. There should be o...

Re: 350B Final Drive Gearing
Let me make that a little clearer. Worn tracks have a greater distance between pads. When the bushi9ng gets to the sprocket it first is a little distance from the base of the tooth, but rubs its way to the base, pulling the track a little more as it rubs in. Experience talking here.

Re: 350B Final Drive Gearing
Before you break the track check your pins and bushings. Believe it or not, a track with less slop will apparently run slower than one with good slack (and eat up the sprocket doing it).

One fiber goes behind the snap ring. the books don't necessarily mention this.

Re: 420 radiator
According to Ron O'Neill, the Tractor Doctor, in the August issue of Green Magazine, you can use muriatic acid in radiators and even in engines using thermo-siphon cooling.

Re: 2010 hydraulics not responding!
Looks like you are new to the board and possibly new to your 2010. The blade hydraulic system is separate from the transmission. If it is not responding either the hydraulic oil level is low, the pump is disengaged or has failed, or there is some other cause (which should be more obvious). But if yo...

Do both sides at the same time or the dozer will walk crooked for a long time.

Assuming the injector pump is good, I would look for either an air (first) or fuel restriction.

Should be a button-head fitting on the hub between the spokes. You may have to move the track several pads to see it.

A 3-roller uses "heavy gun grease" in a standard grease gun. Fifteen pumps every ten hours by my book.
