J.- Well, I'd start at the source and check the John Deere on-line parts listing for the 350B. Write down the part numbers for your machine and then get the new, Deere prices. You'll need these because if you go hunting used parts, you'll find many folks want more for a used part than Deere wants fo...

The track tensioner should have grease in it, not oil. The grease is not used for lubrication in this case, its only used to extend the track tensioner so I wouldn't worry about grease compatibility as I might with rotating machinery. Besides, after several decades of use, who knows how many differe...

Hopefully, that will work for you. The front face of the piston is smooth as is the back face of the rod guide, so no matter where you put the piston in the bore, there's no engagement between the two. Hope that makes sense from my description. Mine was also rust free on the outside of the cylinder,...

Welcome to the forum. I resealed my first hydraulic cylinder on my crawler a few months back so I'm familiar with what you're trying to do. I've got my service manual in front of me right now, but its not going to be of much help to you. It says: 1. Clean the cylinder with diesel fuel and be sure th...

Pete, Another thought. If your crawler has a ROPS cage on it, depending on its design, you may have to remove it to mount the hoe and use it. The seat for the hoe requires that you sit directly over the fuel tank. When operating the crawler, the hoe seat pivots up and latches. Here is the Deere broc...

Here are two that will fit
Surferpete, Hi. Welcome. I'm a relative newbie myself, but have a hoe on my 350 crawler. The literature for my 93A backhoe says it will fit a JD450. So there's one data point for you. The 95 will also fit. Both are open center hydraulic systems. I'm sure others here will have information on later ho...

That horizontal cylinder you pumped grease into is, in fact, the track tensioner. That's how you adjust the slack in the track assembly. If you look at how its mounted, it simply pushes the front idler forward, thereby making the track run longer. Don't tighten it too much. There is supposed to be 7...

CBC Fuel Injection Pump
jdemaris- Given the background that you've given before, I certainly understand being skeptical. Seems odd, eh? But, how ever these guys are doing it, it would appear they are commercially rebuilding these pumps. It wouldn't surprise me if the Chinese or Indians were making parts. Gosh, it seems lik...

Good news!
Well, there's good news after all. Rainy day here so spent it doing web research on the Roosa Master CBC injection pumps. I found 4 different diesel injection pump rebuilders across the country that claim to rebuild these pumps. Prices vary a lot from a high of 800 dollars (with your old pump in tra...
