Re: Another fuel problem 450C trackloader

Remove the side inspection windows from the injector pump to see if you have what is referred as mouse turds. If that is the case the pellathane ring on the governor of the injector pump is coming apart and blocking the injector pump drain check valve. If you remove the check valve and are able to g...

Very nice. I need to replace the bottom rollers on mine as well. How much of a pain was it to do with the track on? Also where did you get them?

Steering Clutch? What happens when you move the steering handles? Pull both back then let them spring forward.

Looks good nice work. You guys all have these nice looking loaders and dozers, mine looks like it was used in Iraq clearing IED's [/img] http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/ad358/dloch/Loader/DSC_1031.jpg This what it looked like when I got it, after 3 plus years of clearing trees it's not even that ...

Are you mechanically inclined enough to do it yourself? All the parts to do it are generally under $100. A person that does rebuild them posted up an very honest reply to some one on anther site http://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?t=1288888. I also see that you posted your question th...

You still have air in the system/body of the pump. I just went through this with my 1960 Fergusin Tractor with a 23C Standard Diesel. It has a CAV Pump which is a Roosa design, same as what you have. I also rebuilt my injector pump on my 450C. Have to get all the air out of the body or it will start...

Re: 350B diesel timing

I believe mine was a hole. With the bolt installed you are at TDC, but, you don't know if you are at the inject TDC unless you either remove the cover on the pump to see if the lines are lined up or you remove the valve cover and look a the position of the valves.

Like Stan stated, the injector pump governor is the issue. You keep running it and it seizes you now have a major expense and problem especially if it snaps the shaft. . You need to get #1 to TDC on the inject cycle and put the pin in the flywheel. Here is a post from YT that does IP rebuilds/repair...
