Generator light stays on

Today I spread some gravel with my 2010 loader crawler. Was about 20 minutes into the job when the generator light came on. I increased rpms which will usually make the light go out. Well it stays on and it's bright. Is this common, where should I start in solving the problem. I also noticed a disti...

ROPS on 2010

I finished framing this up today. Needs some more paint and the 10 guage plate that will be the roof. Not sure if this improves the looks of the machine, but it will keep big branches from hitting me in the head. 8) Al Z

Thanks

I know you have a very rare piece of history there. I was just testing you. I wouldn't mind seeing a copy of that cutaway. I know JD did alot of those cutaway drawings to show the inner workings of their engines, hydraulics, combine threshing etc etc. I thought maybe somewhere along the line they ha...

Smoke

Cap that makes sense. And from now on I'll remember what you said about the white smoke, every time I start it. 8) Lavoy I'd like to see a cutaway diagram of one of these engines. Know where I could see one? Were these engines used in wheel tractors? The 3020 and 4020 diesels didn't start hard and h...

I don't think I'll need them anyway. A nice new sharp cutting edge will be put on this bucket. I hate torching the...

2010 arrives in Minnesota

Willie dropped off my 2010 track loader on Monday. Super nice guy, would use him again in a heartbeat. We ran it off the truck and let it sit. Today was the first chance I had to "play" with my new toy. Man is this engine cold blooded, had to use the glow plugs for full 30 seconds and she finally st...

JD parts availability

I have logged into JDparts.com and looked up parts numbers For my 1964 2010 loader crawler. I always get a Message saying " Number is invalid" Does John Deere still have parts for these old machines? My machine is 99% complete and everything works. I am looking for a pair of the JOHN DEERE name plat...

66- Before you start taking the starter out try a new battery. I had this issue with a 4020 this month. Heard a clicking sound and engine wouldn't turn over. I used jumper cables and my pickup to try to start it. Same clicking noise. Next I charged the battery overnight, in the morning same clicking...

I need specs on a JD 2010 with 820 loader

I am trying to ship a JD 2010 from the east coast to MN. Truckers need to know length, width and weight. No hoe, just machine and loader, oh and a 3 tooth ripper on the rear. If someone has a manual with measurements and weight specs you can call me at 320-583-2083. Thanks Al Z http://i388.photobuck...

Nice job on the seat. Glad she runs and steers like new.
Why didn't you paint the loader cylinders and bucket?
