Well that stinks! Anyways, assuming the leak is in the same spot, there are two rear bearing quills in the reverser case, these use o-rings that seal them to the case. There is one quill for the output shaft, and one for the rear of the countershaft. If your bearing and seal are in good shape, I'd b...

Deere uses c pins from the factory, so thats what we put back in. See one of Leonards posts if you want to discuss the whole roll pin, c pin, spring pin thing  .It really depends on which joint as to where the pins are driven in or pivot. My pins were all tight where they were driven in, just r...

This topic has come up before guys... Anyway, on the dozer, John Deere still sells a kit, but its expensive. However there is a lot of stuff in the kit, and it's not like you aren't getting something for your money. You can also buy parts individually, but in my opinion it too is expensive. That bei...

I agree with with Ken and Lavoy. Many hydraulic repair shops can still repair worn out bores /spools. I just had the control valve on my 350C dozer repaired by the local Cat dealer. I'm not 100% sure on the procedure, but i know they re-chrome the spool itself, and then hone out the valve body to ma...

According to the serial tag breakdown on the 350C parts catalog, a 350 C B is a 350C , B meaning its a diesel loader. Also a serial number up in the 300,000 range should put the machine well into the C series production run. Its still a good idea to check what Tiger has suggested, as many machines h...

Wet clutch/brake systems main advantage over dry are extended service life. It would probably be safe to assume most of use don't put enough hours on our crawlers to notice the difference. And, if you run dirty oil long enough, your service life wont be great either! While it is true that dry s...

The gear(s) in your picture are the gear set (pumping element) of the reverser oil pump!!!! I would start asking some serious questions of why they were replaced. Why did the pump fail in the first place? Was the entire reverser rebuilt or just shoved together so the machine moves and can be sold? I...

The transmission to reverser case joint should be somewhat visible looking in from the side. Just follow the case back from the filter (which you can see in one of your pics). You can see the bottom 2 bolts this way. If you want to see the top, you need to remove the floor plates (where your feet si...
