That would be a better heater it would use 40% of the wattage and lose a lot less heat heating the block .I have several of these and hook a generator to the backhoe motors when not near a 110 volt outlet although they are Cat motors but a in block heater is very efficent heater .Digitup. I went to the seller's place. 2.5 hours by car to get there. I got the free final drive T19406T with the complete steering clutch assembly on it with the drive shaft. Mine is a T10004T. He showed me other parts he had there... I did spend some $$$ but I think it worth it. Here's what I got: 4 bottom...

Hi Jim, I'll get the seller final because he gives it to me. I'll Fix it right, preloads and everything. Then remove the broken one and bolt on the good one. I have 2 440 now. I know that preload is important for the finals. I red this section in the service manual but the previous owner (s) I'm not...

I did some more checking and found out that the right final drive is busted. The crawler won't move. The inner cover popped out stripping a bolt with one ear of the cover broken. http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff437/440ironpopper/IMG_0771.jpg Something is broken inside. It is off center... http...

440 problem pull right side
I have very bad news... I guess. Before the snow arrives, I put a tarpaulin to protect the crawler. The crawler was supposed to be moved in a garage by my father but he did nothing. It was covered with snow but I shoveled everything and not much snow entered my ''shelter''. I save you the swearing.....

Yeah, I know. This is the saler picture, the only one I have. An old farmer not able to run it anymore. Well cared machine. Excellent undercarriage, steering clutch rebuilt, engine runs good. I bought my first (and was supposed to be the only) crawler this summer and it has more work to do on it tha...

Thanks 2006! I think I'm gonna burn some hard earned money on that 440... The blade I'm not shure it's factory... It's manual angle with hydraulic tilt. Hydraulic controls are on the right fender and don't look like deere stuff. But it works good. I have a photo of it. http://i1235.photobucket.com/a...

440 year?
Hi, I went to see a 440 for sale today. It steers and pushes well. The serial number tag is gone. It has no reverser, the small 4 speed transmission, T10004T final drive housings. The blade moving mecanism is inside the tracks. Throttle lever in upper corner on left side of the panel. Tracks pads ar...

Hi, Thanks all. Humm yes. I think the reverser is all there. First thing I did when I got the crawler was to drain all oils and put new in. When I flushed the reverser, I saw these forks and other ''unknown'' parts for me at this time. More than just one shaft... Then I got the books, put a lot of t...

440 IC Reverser but no lever
Hi, Dissembly of my machine is nearer than ever. I'm mentally preparing myself! I have the reverser case. No lever to use it. I can see both plugs, the one on the reverser cover where the forks are, and another ajustement on the other side. I can push dirt until the engine dies. So I assume that the...
