Re: 1010 air leak

Have you replaced the filter? Not quite the same but a plugged filter caused my vacuum pump to cavitate when transferring wine and caused it to pull in air.

Re: 1010 air leak

Might try pressure in the suction line. It would force oil out of the leaky spot if it is in the line. Eliminate one thing at a time.

Re: 1010 air leak

If it only happens on a slope, I would check the tank suction line. Over fill the tank to see if it changes anything.

Thanks, I didn't think about the pressed in bushings. Makes sense now.

Re: 440ICD Track shoes on backwards

No doubt more force forward most of the time. I'm still looking at the chain picture and try to grasp why it makes a difference? Either way, you're pulling on the links. I was trying to see if it was also a factor of getting dirt in there.

Re: 440ICD Track shoes on backwards

Can you just 180 the track or does the chain have to run one way? Not different than backing up?

Re: 40c Steering Clutches

Check thickness of the discs. They might have swelled due to the water on them.

Re: Adding pto to 420c

Find a complete pto off of a junkyard crawler. Simply remove the cover and bolt it in. Everything else already exists in your crawler. Should be a lot of them out there.

I would suggest taking it apart and replacing seals and lubing before you put it on.

Sounds like you might have a mix of sizes. Someone replaced a few but not all.

Kinda quiet around here!

That price tag on rubber tracks wiped out my interest!

Re: ISO Loader forks

If\when you get this made. Post how you do it. I have a 420 with loader that's on my list for the next rebuild and I might also like to use it for lifting with forks.

Well, it has tracks!

Sold my Kubota excavator, kx41-3v, 4000 lb class machine. I've been renovating some land that is over grown with woody brush, wild rose, Hawthorne trees. Planning on replanting pine and fir trees. The little excavator did a great job but it was working pretty hard and it was slow going. Just picked ...

Re: 1010 Reverser

Only easy fix I've done: crawler just flat out quit running after a few coughs and jerks.... The fix? Put some gas in and it started right up. Very easy fix not counting having to walk to get gas

Re: ISO Loader forks

Possibly buy the front frame and forks off of a junkyard forklift? Wouldn't be to hard to adapt it to the loader frame.
