Both the fuel and the oil filter from NAPA are paper filters in a metal canister. I think in a previous post someone actually went to the website of the original fuel filter housing manufacturer and cross-referenced the fuel filter so I think it is correct. It certainly fit well when I installed it.

Lavoy: Thanks. Sounds like I could modify my fenders since I have a loader. Based on your note, adding some 1/2" metal plate to the underside of the fenders and also beefing up the attachment point of the fender to the loader arms should do the trick. That will provide the laterial strength required...

To remove the finals, you need to remove the four bolts that hold each final to the cross-bar bracket. Hopefully you have more luck with these bolts than I did. I would also remove anything else that is "in the way" such as fenders, hydraulics, sprockets, etc. I did not remove the actual cro...

Lavoy: Oil pressure gauge is SW 82349 (positive ground) and can use sender SW 279 B-F or SW 82893. You can check all of this on the following website http://www.stewartwarner.net . This is not the SW website but a distributor which has an on-line catalog. The positive ground gauges are in the "Delux...

440 ICD Temp Gauge
Trying to get my temperature gauge to work after painting my machine. It was working before. Not sure what was original for at 1959 440ICD, nothing in the manuals, but this has a one wire temp sending unit and a JD temp gauge (not a capillary unit). How does this wire in? Wire from the sending unit ...

Deere 50 Backhoe
Anyone know the weight of a Model 50 backhoe attachment? I am guessing it is around 3000 pounds but need to know to see if I can lift one onto a trailer with my 1.5 ton chain hoist

Front Reverser Clutch Adjustment
Got it adjusted. Not too bad. Just need to have two extra wrists so you can bend your hand in un-natural ways. Adjustment ring goes downwards to tighten the clutch. I got about 4 pounds of increased lever "pull" for each step in the adjustment ring. Howard: if you need to do this on your machine, th...
