yes you should be able to adjust the fingers, you do however need the gauge to adjust properly...Lavoy generally has those gauges ..not sure which one it is.

you will need to take it out and check it with a different battery to see just what the bendix is doing, it may well be an issue with the battery or you may need to rebuild your starter. also the pull switch contacts on the inside of starter may need replaced, i had same problem with my 40s wheeled ...

JWB, i think Jason? Just got word from our pic server guy....he on way to N. Carolina and will check when he gets back Indiana way where server located....is probably down from storm damage knocking it out....should be another couple days or so to get server back up.... Once it is back up Lavoy does...

i assume that spring had something to do with applying tension to the shaft for that quarter inch? i haven't pulled 2010 steering tho may have to in future.

ok second time around....you said if you pull on the right steering your left track is sluggish. It will pay you immensely to find out if your friend actually got John Deere replacement clutches and steels....the off brands are really KNOWN to shatter and break apart...which could be what has happen...
