In the same boat trying to find out all I can, looks kike it may be wise to pull the reverser and check the splined shaft between that and the transmission and inspect it for wear, grease with high impact moly grease if its good. Other reading on here sounds like the "kit" to fully upgrade the isola...

Aaaah, good idea, with the planks, you put them left to right instead of front to back, I have some 8x8's to put under it, do you have to remove the under pan?..pics of the project?...the parts are not available aftermarket and to be honest I'm not sure if they are the same. I also only have an auto...

I did order the parts and service manuals off e-bay as you said. only been a member on here for a couple weeks and you guys have been VERY helpful ...tha...

New to dozers aswell Ron, picked up a 350c last weekend that has a loose sounding knock even with the clutch in, very loud at low rpm, I am getting everything in the shop set to pull the engine this weekend to replace the isolator which I am certain is the noise. The isolator has been revised 3 time...

O.K.---- where is the best place to get parts

I called my local dealer and they can't get parts for my 79 350c...called the local dear ag dealer and the guy seems to be clueless. so if you guys have had good luck with someone knowledgeable it would be great. pre-cleaner bowel, rubber seal that lays on the hood at the base of the pre-cleaner, mu...

pulling the eng. on a 350c

Is it easier to pull the entire blade to remove the engine and change the isolation dampener, or can it be worked around to do the job??...2017 hrs...is there anything else that should be done while apart. Just bought it and put a pretty good 6 hrs of load on it and the reverser and hydraulics work ...

Picking up a 79 350c, can't wait!!

Well, I put a post on here a couple weeks ago about a 350c I was looking at that made noise, finally made a deal with the guy. it is a true 2086 hr dozer that has had some love over the years so I had to pull the trigger on it. like everything,(always something) there is a mechanical noise I will ha...

Thanks for the info...looks to me that tortional insulator is the noise, just hasn't let loose yet. the owner says it has sounded like that for the ten years that he has owned it without one problem, and a local dealer told him some make that noise and some don't(wouldn't want that dealer workin on ...

hmmm, possibly...will that cause a knocking noise, much louder in reverse. I had the owner put the reverser in the forward position and shift in reverse with the trans. and the noise was the same.

79 350c loud noise backing up

I looked at a 350c that is for sale and when testing it out it makes a very loud knocking from behind or around the flywheel area when reverser is active. On the way home I thought I should have tried it with the reverser in forward and the trans. in reverse to see if it was still there, owner has h...
