On a 40, it will be tough, on a 420 if you have the short stub exhaust pipe, and then the muffler goes over that, then it is easy to remove the muffler.
We usually put the loader in the air, and clamp a heavy piece of angle iron on the ram so that it can't fall down if someone hits the lever.

I got two samples, and that was the end of it. Was never able to get pricing or anything else, so just gave up. If anti-weized, the original ones will never cause any trouble.

Most likely the pump drive coupler, possibly something internal, but would check the drive first.

Shannon,
I think that the serial number on the engine should give you some more info, that engine is/was used on a lot of applications. Some at higher horsepower levels I think and turboed.

Fibers are almost impossible to clean, before I had new ones available I used to use a wire wheel in a grinder, but you can remove some of the disc that way too.
The steels discs shouldn't be hurt with a wire wheel, if you blast them, should probably be a bead blaster to keep from warping.

I don't know of any specific to only crawlers, but J.R. Hobb's wrote a book called "The Little Giants" that was about the Dubuque series of tractors, and it has a fair amount of info on the two cylinder crawlers. It is out of print, but I would guess you could find a copy on the web someplace.

Pair of rails with new pins and bushings is $1500.
I might have a used adjuster on hand, not sure. If nothing else, I have new replacement adjusters available.

Roger,
Considering this board is part of the website, and many of the members here are customers like yourself, I would be uncomfortable with that, but I do appreciate the offer.
