Re: 450 c 3325 winch
Hi Bruce, I believe they are back to the rotary valves. The rotary valve shows as a good part for the 3325 on my 450E, no sub to a spool valve and line kit. I see the same part numbers when I look in the 450C parts catalog. They are proud of them, I see a price of almost $2700.00 for a new valve. Ma...

Re: 450 c 3325 winch
If you had posted it on the early crawlers board, Lavoy may have moved it over here when he saw it. It is here now along with this posting. This is a 3315 winch with rotary valve, the 3325 looks about the same. If your valve looks similar to this, you have a rotary valve. http://jdcrawlers.lcent.com...

Re: jd440ic..engine clutch
How long has it been since you last ran it? Adjustment should not have changed just setting there. Was it working properly when you parked it? Does it feel the same when you push it to disengage as it did before? (free play and force required) If the answers are yes to both I am guessing the clutch ...

Re: 3325 winch
What do you mean by won't shut off? Do you mean it that it won't stop turning the drum, winding the cable in? Or that the drive shaft to it is turning all the time? Does it have a rotary control valve or spool control valve?

Re: 450C Brake Band Inspection
The following locations are from the 450B manual (TM1033) in the link I gave you in an earlier post, I don't have 450C manual, but similar info should be in the 450C manual, just might be under different headings. In the general section (Section 10) near the front of the manual you should find Separ...

Re: 2010
You didn't say, but it sounds like you might be doing an engine overhaul and had the engine completely apart. Short answer to your question is to check the valve/lifter position compared to piston position on #1 cylinder to see if it is at TDC compression stroke. A longer answer is: You said you lin...

Re: 350b hour meter
You just need a power wire that turns off and on with the ignitions switch. 450B shows the hourmeter wire branching off the fuel solenoid wire.

Re: 450C Brake Band Inspection
From your past posts, it sounded like you found a problem with the valve, or linkage, not releasing the brake band. It sounds like you fixed that. Is everything moving now? You have wet (oil filled) steering clutch and brake compartments, correct? Did you do all the initial mechanical adjustments to...

Re: Stuck steering clutch.
Those are dry clutches. Penetrating oil. diesel fuel, oil, etc. should not be on them. Contamination can lead to failure/slipping. People do many things that are not proper, sometimes it works, sometimes the result is worse than if such was not done: such is the case with filling the compartment wit...

Re: 450c 6-way fittings?
Get your relief valve repair done. By the sounds it will currently prevent anything from working or checking out right. As I posted back in November your JD service manual should give you cycle time specs for the dozer functions. Set the main relief pressure and engine rpm as the book calls for them...

Re: 350c 1976 starter issues
One 750CCA battery should have tried turning it and if it had been running regular would have started it I believe. It does sound like a bad solenoid, but you said it worked on the floor before installation. Has the machine been setting inside or out? I hate to ask this but Is there a chance the eng...

Are you looking for washer part number T10649? I checked that number and U10562 shim but they show as no longer available on the ag dealer site that I can access some dimensions on. I check my construction dealer's site and they show as available to order, but that site doesn't give access to dimens...

Re: Creampuff or a $cheap$ fixer?
If you are thinking selling the hoe will pay for the cost of the dealer repair, I would not count on that. If you need a hoe you can figure its value to you. If you plan to sell it; the hoe will be worth however much a buyer will pay for it, not always the amount you may want or need. I don't know t...

Re: 450 operators manual, anyone?
I think it may be more under the floorboard, than under the seat, on the right side and down from the top of the transmission several inches. I can't find a picture of it.
