Howard, Thank you. I just wanted to be sure there were no modifications to the tractor when the winch was installed. I have been looking at a tractor for sale locally and was not interested in one with a winch. I would probably pull it and install a PTO. Any idea on the weight of the winch, I think ...

removal of winch from 420C

I was wondering how difficult it is to remove a winch from a 420C (not sure of the brand of winch). Once removed, is the factory PTO still on the tractor? Are there any parts missing that would need to be put back on?

Thank you.

Pat, You might try putting several layers of electrical tape over the nameplate prior to blasting. That is what I did when using plastic media and sand for blasting aircraft parts (If the parts were going to be repaired and the nameplate did not need to be removed). If the part was bad, and we neede...

# 61 blade or # 62 blade

I'm looking at buying a 420C that I found locally, it does not have a blade on it.

I would like to know if anyone has a blade for sale, (I would perfer a # 62), or if someone has sold one within the past year and what was the price...

Thank you.

Lavoy, Thanks for the information. Is this correct then... MC60 is an inside arm with one hydraulic cylinder. The # 61 was an inside arm single cylinder (4 way blade). The # 62 was an inside arm dual cylinders (6 way blade). Visually, how can I tell the 602 blade from the # 61 and # 62? Also, what w...

Lavoy,

Can you list the Deere blades that came with each modle from MC thru 440, and a general discription. It would be great to know what was available.

Thanks.

I took another look at the 420C, and checked out the blade, it's a #76.

Lavoy,

Most of the links have been welded or have cracks on the inside radius. What would cause these cracks.

What is your price for a complete set of 14" wide tracks for a 5 roller.

Thanks

brush rake

Has anyone built a brush rake for a Deere blade?. If so, please post some pictures, or email me at StaceyJan@aol.com. I would like to see what designs are out there. I'm looking at purchasing a 420C with a #71 (I think) blade, and a rake would come in handy where I live.

Thank you.
