440 project
Hello, finally able to get to my 440 after a long absence. I now have it moving under its own power. I removed the head and had it rebuilt. Also, had the radiator re-cored as well as new coil, points, condensor. Here is a picture waiting to load up at my house to be moved to my new shop at the farm ...

I will try that. Lavoy, the carb went to a very well-known carb rebuiding shop, in gm, 2 cyl, etc, but I am pretty sure warranty from carb shop is off by now, I have been reluctant to take it apart. Anyway now I broke the adjusting rod on the governor so I have to find that before I can do anymore. ...

440 IC Surging
It seems like I only get to work on my crawler once a year based on previous posts. I'm still working on 440 IC and have now got to this point: rebuilt carb, new manifold, all new ignition, rebuilt head. I got it running yesterday, starts good, sound okay but it "surges". I checked the governor and ...

fuel line
Hello to all, been a while since I have posted, been reading lots though, some nice work being done, anyway, I have got back to work on my 440 IC. I sent the carb away to be rebuilt and re-installed, will only run with the choke on. Before I rip the carb apart and void any warranty I might have, I w...

Hello to all, have been away, back into fixing now, did anyone see the "hi-crop" crawler in Green Magazine? Quite a unit.

Lavoy, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who likes to bring them back from the grave. Does it have the ripper teeth?

carb
Thanks Lavoy, the 440 is "hunting and seeking", I thought maybe the float was set too low. Boy that new carb would have been a good idea in hindsight but free advice never really sinks in does it!

Float height setting
I don't have access to SM 2024 (I know, I know, I gotta loosen up) but what is the proper float height for a TSX-756 carb on a 440 and what is the right fuel height?
Thanks in advance,
Brent
