My wife took this picture of a rainbow from the front door.

Is this what you need?

http://www.midwestcontrol.com/part.php?id=4168

$56.57 + shipping.

I bought the control cable for the winch on my 450 from them. Seems to be very good quality.

Re: steering line

The max PSI in the power steering system is only around 300psi. You should be fine fabricating one out of copper.

It takes a very large industrial press, I don't think it would be something you could (or would want to) rent. If you take the pads off yourself and take chains in to a track shop they can do this for you though. The conventional wisdom these days seems to be that you're better off just running out ...

Re: i got screwed at an auction jd 450e no reverse when war

There's actually no reverser in this model, it's just a powershift transmission. Have you already changed the fluid, cleaned the intake screen, and replaced the filter? That would be the first step in diagnosing the problem. If you're lucky you'll find that the transmission oil looks like milk and t...

Those reflective bands on your T-shirt makes it look like you're sporting dual halos. Your friend probably feels the same way :)

Re: 3315 Winch specs

I recently purchased a 350 that came with a 3315 winch. I was wondering if anyone new the pulling capacity of the winch and what size cable/how much the spool holds. You can find specs for the winch here: http://www.deere.com/en_US/cfd/forestry/deere_forestry/media/pdfs/noncurrent/noncurrent_skidde...

Really I would like to know how that could be preformed You just have to split the tracks and take the sprockets off, then you can pull pinion out through the final. The service manual I have says to remove the final drives when removing the clutch packs, but by all accounts I've read, this is not ...

My right slide slips too. The left steering clutch was rebuilt on my machine not long before I bought it but the right side wasn't. When the clutch gets worn out you can keep on loosening the linkage and it doesn't do any good and it was already all the way loose when I got it. That said, it's still...

The big thing between dozer and skidder is gear ratio you won't get much pull when attached to a dozer.Digitup. Are you sure about that? The 450 crawlers all had a standard 1000RPM PTO out the back. I have no idea if the same is true for the 440/540 skidders, but the gears in the winches look like ...

Maybe your 350B has finals from a 350C? Just a guess, but if the clutch housings and finals share the same oil on a 350C, that might explain why there aren't any filler holes. That seems pretty far-fetched, but you never know :)

I realize that the 350 final is probably totally different from my 450, but on newer 450s (not sure if B or C?) Deere started putting the filler plug on the final on the back of the machine for easy access. My old 450 doesn't have it, and filling the finals is not a fun job if you don't an oil pump....

I'm guessing you put gear oil in the finals and that's what you're seeing dripping? The only quick fix is to leave that lower drain plug out, keep topping off the final, and don't fall through into the water table again :)
