Don’t forget to have cyl head rebuilt( by a good rebuilder/shop) and check it for cracks first

I have found a running wreck of a 440 ic but a diesel, the one I have is a gas, 1958 by serial #, is the engine clutch the same- gas or diesel? Trans- or is all diesels 5 spd? Are any of the drive line parts heavy- duty, because of the diesel- S. clutches or brakes and finals?

I found by accident, a cyl head and block usage by casting numbers. Seems like it goes back to 40’s, and up to middle 90’s. it is 600 + pages and a PDF file.
