Re: Sports
Nice to hear I'm not the only one. The other thing we don't do, and this really throws people, is we do not have a t.v. Well we have one but no cable or satilite. Once in awhile we get a dvd from the library, but that is the extent of it. Last movie we saw in a theatre was Dances With Wolves. Nice t...

Sports
Got snowed in today and bored. So here is something I have been wondering about. How common is it to have no interest in sports? When I was a kid I played pickup baseball and football with the other guys in the neighborhood, and enjoyed it. After one year of high school football, playing bench, I pr...

Where the hell does stuff disappear to?
I can't be the only one this happens to. You have something, know right where it is until you need it then you can't find it then it turns up days later in the most obvious place. I have a set of plans for a homemade jib crane, had them for a couple of years finally getting ready to build it. Went l...

Re: Tricksters are out there...
Maybe he found some fool to buy it, seems like if you wait long enough one turns up. The starter comment reminds me of one of the neighbors that fell for that. He bought a Int 500C dozer, which proves he was not to bright to begin with. He drove out to Michigan to by it about a 600 mile round trip. ...

Re: Tricksters are out there...
My personal favorite was a 2010 tractor with loader and backhoe I looked at several years ago. First of all it had a flat tire. The ground underneath it was covered with oil and grease. Don't think there was a seal that was not leaking. Outriggers were chained up and one of the tilt cylinders on the...

Re: Case Backhoe Question
Try Heavy Equipment Forums. Also there is a site called Tractor Stuff. They sell parts for older Case machines. They don't have a forum but if you call and ask to speak to Dale he can help you. He is the Lavoy of Case machinery, what he doesn't know about them isn't worth knowing.

Shop floor options
after 10 years I am finally finishing my shop floor. Half the shop is a service bay where I work on equipment, that will be concreted. The other half is mostly storage with a couple of work benches, drill press, shop press, etc. Those things I plan to put on concrete pads the rest of the area will b...

Question for firefighters
Hi, there must be some firefighters on the forum, need your advice. I have 2 houses to demolish. Looking to buy a fire and rescue chainsaw to do the job. I am looking for recommendations for a good "moderately priced" saw. Need the good the bad and ugly on different brands. Before anybody starts wit...

A Roadrunner is essentially a heavy duty land plane with adjustable height on the grader blades www.roadrunnerblade.com. I am skeptical that for the price it would have any advantages over the leveling the dips with a plane then crowning with a back blade. Or as I said using the adjustable lift arm ...

road grading question
Looking at couple of options for grading gravel roads with a 3 point attachment One is a Roadrunner the other is a land plane. Only advantage I can see to the Roadrunner is that the depth of the blades can be changed hydraulically to make a crown. Thinking you could do the same with a land plane usi...

The thing that makes me feel really stupid about it is this. I am generally safety conscious, always use a remote chuck to inflate tires, never haul anything over weight, try to keep things in good condition. I knew for several years that I needed to replace these binders, but just never got around ...

snap binders, a saftey tip
Ever hear that you should not use a pipe to tighten down a snap binder because it might slip off and whack you? Well that ain't no bullshit. I found that out today in a very convincing manner. And, it only took thirty years of hauling equipment to find that out. So after a day that involved a flying...

Not familiar with the 350, however replacing the bearings means removing the finals from the crawler to rebuild them. couple of things to check before you do that. Jack up the crawler and pry up on the drive sprocket, there should be no movement, if there is then you have bearing problems. You can a...
