you should check with a local diesel pump repair shop. there is one in michigan
Northern diesel controls have had work done by them.

an easy way to loosen a track is to place a piece of wood on the sprocket and rotate also just remove the grease fitting to let the grease out

450 C's are going for around 9 - 12,000 .00 in michigan recently bought one for 9000 going to need chains and a lot TLC this winter but I have been using
it for land clearing and have a rake on it .

Heli coil's work good in those situations used them on my 350 reverser worked good.

when I had to replace the spline between the reverser and transmission I removed the blade assembly made easy access.

Have you changed the filter and possibly too much oil in tank .

I have found that one dealer in michigan is about 12% over web prices guessing parts sales people get a percentage of their sales so I quit using them and found another one that does not have that policy . Might want to compere dealers.
