The front idler is nice and tight, same for the upper carrier roller although it is worn down pretty much to the end plate, it was s...

Re: 440IC with 602 Blade and Winch

I was able to get a 1/2 hour in on the disassembly yesterday so I started working on the RH track. Whoever had worked on it before had tried to make a master pin and they drilled and tapped a 3/8" bolt in the end and washered it up. It was quite loose but it seemed to be working. Also, I was happy t...

Starts and runs, good hydraulics, winch controller needs to be oiled and bled. I didn't really pay attention to the under...

I always wanted a high-seat 60 std like the first picture. I had 3 "low-seats" but I could never get to a high-seat.

Not much downside @ $4,000 if it runs/drives/steers.

30% undercarraige will last you for the rest of your life and your kids will get use out of it. Plus you can always update as time goes by.

Post pics. 450C is a nice rig.

350 started

It has been a long, cold winter here. Too cold for anything to start if left outside. In the fall I parked my 350 by the shop but had no intentions of starting it. A couple of weeks ago on an unusually balmy (+2C) I was on that side of the shop and walked by it so I hit the start button to see if it...

Still for sale

Happy New Year!

Circumstances have changed and I can no longer continue with this project. I can't even drive to go get the thing now. Open to offers.

Thanks!

Be in love

I think you have to be in love with the machine, then it doesn't matter how much you spend on it. If you enjoy it - either using it or showing it off - then fix what needs to be fixed and have at it. Its not an investment, if it is, its a poor one. I had a 1010 and it was a good machine and i never ...

Sandblasting Cabinet

I have been longing for a sandblasting cabinet. The one I want is the TP Tool 960. Problem is although they are only listed at $1,399 with virtually free shipping in the US, I got a quote for $599 shipping to where I am. Also, at the border I will get drilled again for I'm guessing another $500 in n...

Another 5 hours

Well I logged another 5 hours on this machine. Pretty sure this sets a new record for me for using a JD crawler machine. Compounded by the fact that I have not laid a wrench to it!!! Needs: a hyd oil leak fixed an LHS track tightener rebuild My typical mo is to bring it home dead, get it running or ...

I watched the ice road truckers episode last night and I was excited to see KoO. I follow his site everyday and that site was my motivation to learn how to weld. When they set out with the cat train to recover that generator, i thought they would be going in to haul out a big cat power unit or somet...

I spent 3 hours today cleaning corrals with the 350. Not the fastest but you can get into lots of small spots that tractorcan't.

The neighbor came over and now he wants to buy it!!

Man you can't ever find these things and then you can't keep them!!
