Nice parts machine. Loader looks pretty good, GM 2-53 will rebuild at resonable cost unless there is major damage to the crankshaft and/or block. It has the later tranny which will work with both gas and diesel. The winch will catch someone's eye. Plenty of good needed parts on there. If you have th...

Good point, but not all people ever gain the skills to actually operate equipment the way it is intended, even after years of seat time. I guess maybe their bubble has popped? Skill sets are interesting. Not to get off topic but I have flown radio controlled airplanes for many years. We had a ...

LarryD, I agree also. Who will absolutely not leave out a part or a step than the person that owns the piece being worked on? Besides, part of the thrill for me is to learn how these different "systems" work on a crawler. I am still amazed at times at some of the design and advancements from over 50...

Lavoy,

Based on that description of fast versus slow freight, how long do we have to wait for it to be shipped free?
I think I know what is coming for an answer..........................

I third this idea. Had a 3 point utility blade that was held by a one inch bolt. My buddy slammed a large rock and broke the bolt. It left just enough bolt "above ground" to piss you off. LOL We took a one inch nut and literally melted it to the bolt with a Lincoln AC/DC tombstone. Used - DC @ 105 a...

I have taken a few 60 starters out, the only thing that held it up was when I forgot to move the cable.
I am wondering if the starter in there is an original Delco Remy for the 60 or a replacement?

Matt,

Lavoy is always the first choice for parts on this board. Without him and his efforts, there would be no crawler board.
If he does not have what you need, carolinacrawler on here had some 440 sprokets for sale and some other parts. Search his name on here and ask away.

Lavoy and others may have other suggestions, but I just use what I have in my grease gun which is typically a marine grade for water dispersion.

Plants will not grow when they are covered up with "experience" and direction.
Be thankful that he has the enthusiasm to be himself and pursue his own dreams.
If it is in the cards, I am sure he will eventually take an interest in the Deeres, just like most of us eventually did.

Larry,

I really enjoy seeing the basket cases be brought back to life.
I know you will have put loads of work in to it when you are finished.
Keep the pics coming. You can actually post pics directly on this board in your message if you place your pics in a free site such as PHOTBUCKET.
