Re: new to the 450c crawler need help died and won't crank?
Sounds like he doesn't have power at the dash/circuit breaker. You'll need a test light at the very least. Battery is good? You have power to the starter solenoid with the switch on? turn ignition switch on, hear a click? Check for power at the injection pump solenoid. If you don have power at the i...

Re: 450C track loader hose replacement question
When I did mine, like the others I had the boom of the ground and pulled the rear pins to get the rear hoses. I bought all kinds of wrenches, bent some of said wrenches and really improved my language skills.

I agree with Jim, talk with the people that rebuilt it. Does the shop have a test stand to run the pump after a rebuild?

Thanks Jim, I had read somewhere else to avoid 303 and use J20C and so I'm using Shell Rotella HD which was the best stuff I could find in a hurry.

I'm somewhat confused, which happens often nowadays, are you saying you used Rotella HD in the transmission?

Re: H-flow pump puttin, total new lines havin- 1st time doin
I'm sure the limiting factor is based on the size of the inlet line, 1-1/4". At those speeds the suction line velocity is already higher than what we generally consider best practices in the industrial world. Then you have to factor in the temperature, cold oil moves slower than warm oil, add in the...

Re: Basic loader control valve flow-direction question...
More isn't always better in some cases which is what I believe Lavoy is implying. Hope you know, more flow requires more horsepower you don't get anything for free unless it's our government, which is another subject all together. You'll no doubt figure that out, you need to taylor the pump flow cur...

Re: 450C HLR Pressure
Does the pressure drop when checked in all of the 3 ranges, Hi-Lo-Rev? If it does then it is something common to all. There are some line hard lines under the cover. Did you do a complete clutch adjust as per the manual? There are clutch packs inside the transmission the engage and disengage the var...

Re: 450B shifting speed
As others have suggested, you need to go through all the preliminary checks and adjustments prior to adjusting the needle valve that controls shifting speed. Optimum pressure for the HLR is about 180 PSI.

Re: 550B tracks stop...after some run time
Given you just had transmission service, did it do this before the service work? If not, next question would be what fluid did they use? Appears to be more to the issue.

Re: 450B problem
Pump will only go in/on one of two ways, correct or 180 degrees off since it's the tang on the end of the driveshaft that goes into the distributor rotor assembly. Lining up the pin in the flywheel and the mark in the window is to insure you aren't 180 degrees off on your injector timing. If you loo...
