More Final Drive Seal Tools

I'm making up another batch of the PVC version of the seal installation tools. Price is $30 each plus shipping. These are a handy thing to keep on hand even if you aren't presently rebuilding a final drive. Here's some pictures from the previous post. http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t203/wwattson...

No, I got Lavoy a box of 30-06 bullets and I was going to let him shoot my new rifle.

Merry Christmas Lavoy.

Not meaning to add to your pain Pat, my M1 Garand arrived from CMP this week. Its a beauty and shoots great. I might get it reparkerized and refinish the wood but it's functionally in great shape. I'll try to post a few picture this week.

Oops, I meant Wisconsin State Farmer. It an agricultural newpaper that is published statewide weekly. Here's a link to their site. http://www.wisfarmer.com/ You want to post in the classified section in Equipment subsection Industrial Equipment. I think it will work pretty well for you. There's a lo...

One trick I used when I was looking for my crawler was to post a "crawler wanted" ad in the "Wisconsin State Farm". I posted what kind of crawler I was looking for and how much I was willing to pay depending on condition. I got so many phone calls I couldn't respond to all of them. The reason I thin...

Lavoy,

I'm pretty sure it was about $40 last year when I got the replacement for the 1010CA. It's just a 17 tooth spline coupling for goodness sake. It sure as heck should cost $145 in any case.

Used ones are available and I'm sure I can cross it to something else with a little looking.

If you go to jdparts.com, you should be able to download the Parts Manual for the 440C. The coupling is M3665T for the units without reversers. The bad news is Deere jacked the price to $145. Lavoy can probably help you with this part.

They are still available from Deere I believe. Do you need a part number?

Lavoy, a guy can dream, can't he? Seriously, I think you're right about the M14s. I don't know that the army ever really officially retired the M14 either. M16 is the standard issue rifle but I believe the M14 can still be issued for some purposes. I guess it's back to Springfield Armory for an M1A....

I think many of the M1s that are coming through CMP are returns from the Greek army. I guess they did a pretty good job of maintaining them and the rebuilds they did were apparently good work. The two things I heard is that they replaced the wood with a light color hardwood when they overhauled the ...

Thanks Lavoy, I decided to go with the NAPA Etching Primer. I might try the Deere primer later but my dealer was closed by the time I got done fighting with my wife's horse trailer lights.
