I'm still screwing around with the track frames and rollers but it's close. I wanted to see what folks were using for primer these days and I remember Lavoy posting something around an epoxy primer but couldn't find the post. Good weather finally came to Wisconsin so I should be able to get this dea...

Ordered my M1 from CMP a couple of days ago. Already wish it was here so I could try it out. Hope the Democrats don't kill the program before the rifle gets here.

Tim, If the images are actually stored in the database itself, game over. If on the other hand the images are stored in a separate directory and the database only has pointers to the file names, you just need to open up access for read to that directory and then paste the path name between the img c...

Tim, From a guy who is restoring a 1010CA; DON"T DO IT MAN, IT WILL KILL YOU AND BREAK YOU! That out of the way, your photo posting problem seems tied back to your service. The links you've got in the image command brackets aren't images. The HTTP is running a PHP script that the image processor won...

Thanks Pat. I was planning on going the extra $100 for service grade over field grade. I think the only thing that bugged me was the note on the CMP site about mismatched wood but it seems like a tight rifle with no other issues other than mixed beech and walnut pieces was still a great deal and a n...

I was going to get a look at what I got before I committed to anything else. Anything you get from CMP that is field grade or better should be completely safe but they might be a little sloppy for anything but casual shooting. I've got a bolt action tactical rifle now that I can reach out to 700 yar...

Lavoy, I'd almost let you trade my crawler for an M14 so long as I could come over and shoot it every once in a while.

Maybe it's a 1010C thing. :?

Bill

P.S. The Fulton Armory stuff is nice. If I end up getting the M1 I'm working on from CMP, I'll probably send it to them to rebuild it.

I don't think rebuilding the injectors is necessarily a complicated thing to do as much as it's a matter of having the right equipment. I'm not familiar with the injectors used on the 450 but making sure they spray with the right pattern, don't leak, and lift at the correct pressure are all things t...

Welcome to the forum! If you bought a crawler, you're absolutely certifiable. We're your new support group. I did check out www.lavoy.com and I'm guessing it's not him due to the lack of crawler pictures. As to the deal on the 450; sounds like you got a really good price. I would think you could put...

Lavoy, if you don't mind me asking, what do you use in the way of threaded inserts? I really like the Timesert inserts that I've used to repair the Ford Triton engine spark plug blowouts (3 down, 7 to go) but I've not tried their steel repair inserts.

Finally got the Broken Bolts out of the Track Frame

Well, sharing my love for 1010 crawlers like my friend Lavoy, I've been off and on fighting getting the four broken off bolts for about as long as I've had the machine apart. I'm not smarter than a 1010 but I'm quite a bit meaner than most of them. There is a saying that there were few social proble...
