If it's the same as a 450, and your description sounds as though it is, yes, the seat cushion sits inside the angle iron frame. My frame just sat on the angle iron on the battery box and hyd tank- making it easy to adjust dry clutches (although the set in seat cushion works, too). Let me know if you...

You can read the filter number in my pic. Most parts houses can cross-reference filter numbers (wix, napa, etc).
Carquest had the tranny filter, too.

I had trouble initially posting the pic. Anyway, yep, carquest has 'em.
Includes o-ring for top of filter housing and tube that slips into filter, and bottom of filter, and the bleed screw on the bottom. There is an o-ring on the bottom of the bolt that isn't included so don't damage that one.

Just picked up new filters for mine this morning. 1" round head on bottom of sediment bowls is bolt head(that bleed screw threads into). Lightly grip w vise grips and unscrew. The bottom of the head has two pin holes for pin-type spanner wrench but my vise grips worked fine. https://farm3.staticflic...

Nice looking set-up! Level indicator looks good. My indicator is inthe back burner. Mounted a seat and taking care of a fuel leak…it's always something!
Will certainly use the ideas shown here when I build mine.

Not sure of the similarities but my 450B has similar set-up. There is a pipe he cap fits over that has an o-ring: perhaps you're feeling the resistance of that?
Looking at deere's parts website may give an exploded view (they have my 450).

Thanks. This has certainly been a "project" machine so trying to get a feel for it. Certainly different than my son's TD7!

450 dry clutch adjust frequency…your mileage may vary:

Hello all, I realize there are many variables to this question but hadn't seen it asked before: generally, how frequently do you guys find you need to adjust the steering clutches? I had rebuilt one side and adjusted both after bolting back together. Spent about 6 hrs tending a burn pile and noticed...

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. This will be my next project.
I had seen a video for IH that showed markings on the cylinder for dig as well as clamshell position.

Yep, always a challenge trying to figure out what someone else has cobbled together. Not sure if the jdparts website is as nice for 350's but love looking at the diagrams of various assemblies- helps kinda figure out how it's supposed to go. http://m.jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.part...

Was going to rebuild track adjuster, too, but appears the previous owner did a top-notch job already: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7280/13727645673_1cd785f941.jpg 450B by labparamour , on Flickr He must have figured welding the bleed hole shut would fix it!
