What the mechanic is not understanding, is there is no right injector for that engine, there is only the right injector for that engine relative to the application that it was designed for, or the HP output it spec'd for. While you may be putting back in what came in that engine for its original app...

Bigger orifice means more fuel I would think, more fuel means more power, and that can break things. I would guess the injectors you would want are N35.

If we had that much snow on the ground here, my kids would expect a snow hill so big it would need a ski lift.

Smoke out the shifter tower is from the transmission, possibly the reverser, but definitely not clutch. Sounds like you better pull the top cover and see what is bad, but sounds like a smoked bearing.

It really varies, somehwere under 40 inches is the average, in 97 we had 116". Up til now, we have had maybe 1/2", but there was nothing at all left anywhere. We have been breaking temp records all last week, it was 50 degrees yesterday. Woke up to snow this morning, and still snowing steady. If we ...

I have tightened them up many times. Heat the ring around the ball carefully and bend it back down as you go with a hammer.

If you mean the big center nozzle, there is no way to clean it without removing it. You can carefully grb it with a small Vise-grips where it sticks out and try and loosen it some so that you can remove it with a screwdriver.

Did you soak it in a Stanosol type cleaner, or actual carb cleaning solution?

Man, send it here, we are wide open and been breaking temp records every week. If we don't get snow soon, the kids are going to kill me.

My assumption was that you were only talking about the case itself. IF you are talking the whole final, then it is a crap shoot whether or not the gear set in it will be correct. In addition to that, if you are just going to bolt on a used final without disassembling it to check everything inside, y...

Jumping out of gear is typically a tapered gear, but could be bearings.
None of the transmission bearing are serviceable with the engine out, you would have to pull the center section as well. If you do that, you can replace the front 3 bearings.

I doubt you could get them machined for $500 each unless you took some awful large quantities. If you are not concerned about original, I have some NOS Berco roller shells that should adapt fairly easily. Thay are square bored and should accept sealed bearings quite easily. I have been going to make...
