350 Deere Engine
We needed to replace an engine in our 350C after 25 years of severe service. In the mid 80's we had a bigger injection pump installed and liked/needed the extra power. We purchased a low hour air compressor with the newer style 3 cylinder engine and it fit right in. This newer engine is incredible f...

Options
We mounted a hoe on a widepad 450C dozer machine a few years ago and ran into a similar problem. On the dozer hydraulic valve there was no room for a powerbeyond valve. We had a few options (1) install the factory valve (can only run dozer or backhoe but not both as the same time (2) install a loade...

Response
Transmission works fine, pressure guage registers normal almost instantly on start up. It is just the blade hydraulics. Never seen an issue like this and have very limited experience with 2010's and internal pumps. Much easier to diagnose when there is a separate hydraulic tank and an external pump....

High production snow clearing
Nice work. Since you have a loader machine and it might have a 3rd valve, you could: - buy and old bucket for the mounting ears - build a frame to accept the ears and add hydraulic angle function We have this set up on our 350C crawler loaders. We used a 350 dozer blade to start with, so our attache...

Nothing wrong with cheap and easy
I would just clean everthing up really good, including the fibers (bead blast or gentle wire brushing with an angle grinder). Buy 2 more steel and start out with 2 steels in the back of the clutch housing. Have new springs made that are 25% heavier. Follow the comments by others on adjusting your cl...

Get out the cutting torch
On our own personal machine that we work, we will cut a hole in the frame approximately 6 inches in diameter, the way it should have been done from the factory. We have never had an issue with the frame twisting or buckling. Our machines are for work so we don't worry about devaluing their collectib...

Never an easy task
We usually block the loader up or set it on something sturdy, then remove the lower pin. This way you can swing the cylinder out of the way and work on the hoses easily.
Key is to do it safely.

Quick fix or not
I think that you have a few options, 1. Completely remove track frames and re-thread the mounting bolts to the next larger size. This is alot of work. You may also want to weld the track frames to the cross member when you are done. On our wide pad 350's we use new high grade bolts, weld the cross m...

Steering clutch's - a little bit about what i know
I have worked on many older deere crawlers, my dad has a collection of 3+ of each model from the BO Lindeman to 450's. We still work 350C loader machines equiped with 30" pads, angle dozer on the loader and 9550 backhoe. Today we ripped one down to fix a broken front crossmember. Here is what we do ...

John Deere 2010 Hydraulic issues
I was getting close on a complete rebuild on a a very tired 2010 dozer. Rebuilt engine (liner plate, pistons, bearings, injection pump, etc), steering clutches, transmission, final drives, track frames, new pins and bushings, rad, the list goes on. Good thing my dad wrecked on of these so only had t...
