Man, Did you look at the list of guns on that auction website. 409 guns all together.
I probably shouldn't have posted this here, sorry.

No problem at all Leonard, I got the information I asked for just the same. If I ever come to Missouri again, I promise the reason will not be just to kick your rear end. The reverser lever on my 350 dozer is a little hard to operate but the main problem for me is having to reach for it. I would rat...

Leonard - Could you briefly describe what you mean by converting the reverser cable to a hand shifter on the left arm rest. Is this done by getting parts for or from a later model with the lever mounted on the left arm rest or by shade tree engineering (which I'm most familar with)

I have a 350(straight) that started doing the same thing as you describe. I replaced the fuel supply pump that mounts to the engine right before the filters and have had no more problems with it idleing down as you said.

One suggestion I have; when you implement Plan#A, you need to have someone there with you to call 911. I saw my uncle trying to repin a rail on a Cat' using a large ball ping hammer and a large hydraulic jack. A piece of that pin about the size of a dime went completely thru the calf of his right le...

Obtain the service manual for your machine. It will give you step by step instructions on how to remove the transmission, how to reinstall it and most any other thing you want to do to it. Save you endless hours and money.

I would check with Lavoy first. He can usually meet or beat Deere price on most anything. Besides he owns this site and sells parts which makes it possible for us to come here for help, information and parts.

I think I would be more interested in finding how the oil got on the clutch plates to begin with. That problem has to be fixed first. My opinion, I'm sure not going thru all that work of pulling finals and then put used clutch plates back in and thats based on past experience.

I kinda thought that might be the case. Lot smoother job using a bushing if you can find one or make one I would think.

I remember reading about a method of removing slop from blade pin holes that used a nonmetallic (carbon based) type rod of the correct size that could be placed in the oversize holes and using an arch welder to fill in the spaces. They even had pictures (looked like a charcoal rod). only it was toug...
