I would have to think about it a while before I welded the sprockets onto any crawler, if that is what you mean.

Brake band too tight? I had similar problem with my 350 straight, too tight brake band was problem. New bands are hard to get adjusted right untll they get "seated"( I guess would be the word for it)

If you have a 350 straight, there should be no fluid of any kind (oil, water, mixture of oil and water, solvents ect.) in the steering clutch housing. It is a dry system on this model. If its a straight 350 and you have any liquids in the final housing, you have bigger problems than out of adjustmen...

Brake bands will most likely need attention as well; probably replacing.

I once saw a fellow lose his wedding band along with is finger when he hung it on the seat frame while jumping from the track to the ground. It was sickening to see and he was in real pain obviously.

A deal like that would bother me every time I looked at that tractor for the rest of my life! We read, write and talk a lot about being ripped off by someone who misrepresented a tractor we bought when we didn't know any better. A seller "who didn't have a clue" is entitled to ethical treatment as w...

Also, before you buy a manual; be sure you in fact have a straight 350. You may already be sure; but sometimes a misunderstanding about this comes up.

Yes, inside mount, manual angle and tilt with two cylinders as visible in side shot of the dozer. Wish I had or could afford a 6-way hydraulic blade as I use this tractor quite alot on my wooded acreage and around my lake. I just rebuilt steering clutches (parts from Lavoy) and relined the brake ban...

This is a shot of the hydraulic tank on my 350(straight) dozer. According to the serial number, this tractor was designated as a dozer from the factory and this tank is obviously smaller than the one on the loader. http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/x403/cdunn1/DSC01686.jpg This is a shot of he hyd...

I own a 68 350 straight dozer. In the three years I have had it, I have searched diligently for the hydraulic oil filter. Any number of people have told me its in the tank, but it ain't. Mine has a small tank compaired to the hydraulic tank on the 350 straight loader. I also own a 350 straight loade...

BUT...... the principal purpose of the reverser is to change direction of the tractor without clutching (on the fly) Right?? That information caused my jaw to drop, never heard that before. I would be very interested in knowing exactly how to use the reverser as a pump source for power assisted stee...

It is possible to remove the oil using one of those hand operated suction pumps; relatively inexpenive found at most auto supply stores. May take some time but not as long as dropping the belly pans. Also, may not get all the old oil out, but can get most, enough for a good oil change. Flexable tube...
