Got a few done last night, let me know if you need some. Price is $50/each. This is the footrest portion only, it does not include the mountin bracket that bolts to the transmission. Lavoy Lavoy, what is the part number(s) that you're reproducing? I'm in need of the right foot rest for my 440. Part...

Re: 12 Volt Positive Ground

Brad, What page of the ICD Manual you find that on? The Service Manual I bought from you is for the Gas model spark ignition and only talks about the 6 Volt Positve Ground? If you actually have a Manual for the ICD you only sold me the Owners and Parts can you send the service manual for the ICD? R...

I don't think all of them were, just the ones that were optioned that way. My 440 is a center throttle, but does not have the pilot Touch hole.
Lavoy
Mine is a center throttle as well and doesn't have the Pilot Touch Control installed. I always wondered what that hole was for!

The 440IC Tractors (Gas) are supposed to be 6 Volt postive ground. My Owners Manual for the 440ICD states 12 Volt but nothing about positive ground. However you should check your electrical system for any modifications or conversions to 12 Volt. If the starter was wired wrong i.e. causing it to spi...

Brad, If you don't already have them, be sure to get the N series pistons, not S series, and change over to N series injectors as well. S series is what they came with, and are still available because they are used in the turbo charged engines, but you want the N series. It will start so much bette...

440ICD engine rebuild

Been a while since I've posted although I read the forums every morning. I finally got my parts to the machine shop and back again for the detroit diesel engine. About a year earlier I had dropped the parts off at a friends place to have him do a rebuild. He owes us a fair amount of money and since ...

I don't need any right now as the sprockets seem to be in pretty decent shape. But I'm sure the day will come and I'll need replacements. It would be nice to know there is a source out there some where.

Re: Looking For JD 440 ICD Manuals

Hello All, New to the forum. I have been reading and and gaining insight enough to buy a JD 440 ICD Crawler. With that said I am looking for whatever manuals are available to fix and maintain my new piece of equipment. I have searched eBay and ordered a parts manual but thats it. Thanks in advance ...

Re: Air Cleaner Problems

Hi Brad, I think that the down tube on your air cleaner has also been trimmed. There is no way that it would reach into the oil bath. :( Thanks for trying. Derek Derek, I'm not so sure about that. I'm going to look at a couple of other oil bath air cleaners I have laying around. It was my impressio...

Derek, Looking at the first picture the distance from the edge of the ruler to the edge of the cannister is 1/2". With all the gunk on mine its hard to see that mine is anything like yours inside. Since I bought the crawler not running and am still working on the engine I never bothered to pull the ...

Re: Debris in Engine

Tomorrow, I will try to estimate the length of the down tube. I will then extend it using a piece of 2" OD exhaust pipe brazed in place. Does it have any holes in the side of the down pipe like in the oil cup? Derek, I can't help with the piece of metal but if you can wait until this evening I can ...

Brad, In case people are wondering, do you still have any left? lavoy Yep. I've expanded the group to include parts lists for all of the crawlers from BO thru 440. I've been sending them out as 2 different CDs. One specific to just the 440 models and the other with all of the parts lists mentioned....
