first of all, i would bypass the ignition switch..with some kind of kill switch so you can stop the engine, considering that the clutch won't disengage...obviously the machine runs and drives...you then have choice to load it home or safe garage to work on properly. get it safe. being a 420, i am no...

important thing is always...safety first...make sure everything is solid and stationary...dont want anything falling nor loosing your parts and damaging them nor yourself.....i am 76 years young and keeping at it...i tore my 440 down by myself, after i had pulled engine from a 2010 totally by myself...

engine luft, come a long, chain hoist whatever....stuff is heavy and should have helper...do not use cement blocks...use solid wood for blocking..pry bars are useful too,,breaker bars and heat as well to heat stubborn bolts/nuts

just a thought on the pickup tube....i had problem with my kerosene heater...had copper pick up tube and problem was it would not pick up the kerosene so had to dismantle it and look closely....ahaa...a bit of green there and clean up and found pin hole corrosion....changed tube and critter works fi...

which mount are you looking for????? if gas engine mounted radiator advise and i will try to get several pics and get posted here. not sure if you getting switched from diesel to gas and mounting rad..my 440 is 2 cylinder gas...and if different kind of engine how you run hydraulics and etc ????? not...

re..jd440ic manual...does not show info for the crank pump units...only the campump....if they produce 900psi is good to go, by the book..8 gpm..

please edit your profile to post some idea of your location....also there is available reversers out there for replacement, i currently have one but the one on my dozer currently pops out of reverse position and i just use tranny for reverse, til time comes for a teardown

there is one other thing that i did to free up clutch and brake rods ...rusting together .....while dry took hammer to it...reasonably...to loosen up the rust, etc and try to blow out, before getting all gummed up with penetrating oils....after getting loose i carefully drilled the outer sleeve and ...
