Re: Wire Mesh Filter
Sorry to hear you're having this problem. Like Bruce I don't find that part number in the 450C parts catalog. I do find it in the catalog for the dozer blades catalog used with the 450 and 450B. Those machines had separate catalogs for the blades and other attachments, unlike the 450C catalog that i...

Re: Wire Mesh Filter
There are some differences in parts catalogs and your printed one (I am guessing you have a printed edition) likely doesn't match the current on line one so knowing if you are looking at blade hydraulic system and the part number might help answer your question. In the on line catalog, section 75 is...

Re: david brown 885g w/loader.hydraulic/tranny 20w30??????
I would try touching base with a Case dealer, since they are "related" and come under Case now as far as I know. I am thinking they might say Hy Tran (Case's brand of Hy Gard) may be acceptable now, I've looked some but I haven't found that in writing yet. That would open up the aftermarket equivale...

Re: Just Purchased a 400G
Certainly not the original tag. It appears to be a dealer's or maybe a rental unit tag as you said. If you could try carefully cleaning it a bit you might get enough info to identify whose tag it is and contact them if they are still in business. They might have records tying that number to the real...

Re: 350 diesel injector pump swap
Do they have the John Deere part numbers on them as well as the Stanadyne/Roosa Master numbers? Many did. If so, you might be able to use the on line parts catalogs to see if they interchange, or the 350B one is a replacement sub number for your 350 pump. If they can't be matched that way, I would s...

Re: Case 580c
Sounds like the pellethane ring. Have you taken the timing window cover (held on with two screws) off and checked to see what you find behind that cover? Keep a clean rag under it when you remove it, you may find the mouse turds behind the cover.

Re: 350 diesel injector pump swap
Roosa Master is a Stanadyne product line. They just use the Stanadyne name, rather than Roosa Master now. If I was doing it I would run it by the pump shop I use, as they should have access to the specs of both and confirm the one you were given is set up right to replace yours or if it needs modifi...

Re: Canadian JD450 Crawler Loader Serial Number Difference
Good afternoon, I don't know about ones having made in Canada serial numbers. I do know there are differences in the ones made in Europe. Was the tag you found, attached on the loader or the crawler? A straight 450 crawler serial number tag will be on the panel below the seat, about behind your righ...

Re: SAE bolt pattern on 4-239 engine?
Hi Leonard, here is a quick answer. SAE established some standard bolt patterns for bell housings years ago, based on engine sizes. The bell housing would match the mounting holes of the engine block and the transmission side would generally be round with a specific bolt size/pattern for a transmiss...

Re: 450C track loader hose replacement question
Fun, fun , fun. Search Loader hose replacement and there are several threads about this. That will give you some info to study until some of the guys who have actually done it come along. I consider myself lucky, I only have had to change a couple bucket hoses over the years, the ones in the open. Y...

I don't think they are SAE, I believe they are a proprietary John Deere design.

Re: Figured out why I keep dropping track
The brackets' shaft bores don't get lube. If the seals on the idler are good, the lube (grease) stays between the seals, in the bushing area of the idler wheel. The shaft is supposed to be tight in the brackets, held from turning by the set screw and clamped tight to both brackets by the nuts on the...
