Found this in the shop, a Thrush glass pack...same fit, little bit louder as it's a glass pack, but you can really hear the pop pop now.
Cheers

And here it is after I removed the old battery bracket from the fender, relocated the battery to it's original spot, and mounted the hood and took off the Jason goalie mask. Looks pretty good for 60+ years old. Waiting for the manuals to arrive then get into the steering clutch adjustment...and that...

Hi, M is Thermo Siphon, so no water pump. Just two hoses and the radiator. Hi Stan, Thanks, yes, pretty simple...but the leak is coming from a crack in the head, which has been repaired at one time, on the front of the head, vertical. It looks like it has been welded, shiny gold color smooth weld, ...

if it starts dripping oil after you park it you'll have to change it back. p.s.-what is that in the background? a Polish tire swing? Well it's dripping antifreeze but that's another story for the tech forum... No, it's not a Polish tire swing, but a carefully balanced anti-resonant pole damp...

Crawler Bling.A Harley muffler on an MC? How about a Thrush?
Tried to find a decent size small muffler for the MC, went to all the usual AG stores, finally found one that fits with an adapter, into the original stuck, cutoff flange piece, and it works fine, but is just a plain old muffler. Then I remembered that I had a set of Harley mufflers from my motorcyc...

Gentleman, thank you for the help. Well the Lucas is a generator, with an external regulator, although the person who mounted this has just connected the wires on the rear connectors for full output. It is very similar to the unit in my MGB, external regulator. Yes, that 3rd brush is what I w...

Can a 12V generator be rewired/converted to 6V?
Hi guys, Just discovered why my 1952 MC is overcharging the battery...someone has put a LUCAS 12V generator on it. After a little sleuthing and rubbing off years of dirt, I found it stamped Lucas and it's a C39 12V genny, pretty common, but the wrong voltage. Is there a way to drop this bad boy down...

Hey Stan, I had a sneaking suspicion you were a fellow ham...I thought you might get a kick out of this meter I found many many years ago...probably at a ham swap meet. It has US Mil inspection stickers from 1965, and weighs as much as a group 1 battery. I didn't get a chance to use it yet, as I fix...

It's home and off the trailer. First thing I did was steam clean it, got all of the muck and sludge removed then began the process of firing it for the first time. Cleaned up the fuel tank, put in fresh gas, flushed the lines and the carb bowl, cleaned the points and ensured we had spark, checked th...

It's just about home. My Dad had an interesting trip picking it up. What are the chances of having 2 valve stems blow out on the trailer tires in the same day, 40 miles from nowhere, and the person selling the machine having a proper trailer tire/wheel to bolt right on. :D Stopped at my Mom and Dads...

HI fellows, Thank you for the help. I understand the tracks and toolbar option now. The blade does come with the machine, as well as the hydraulic cylinders, they have just been removed for ??? reason, and are off to the side of the machine. It looks like the way the toolbar and blade attach, allows...

Other than the tool bar every thing else looks original and in good shape almost impossible to find a set of tracts like that Hi guys, Thanks for the comments. Picking it up tomorrow. :D As I am not familiar with these older machines, what tool bar are you referring to? I am guessing the the option...

Looking for SM2003 and SM2013 PDF or other emailable manual
HI Guys,
I have found the SM2001 manual but still need the crawler portion which is SM-2003. Also looking for SM2013 model 40 service manual. Anybody have it in a format that could be emailed?
Please and thanks.

Hi, I also have an MC on the way but have 3 other machines. You will find that pretty soon that weak clutch will be slipping so bad is won't move on that side. I had similar problem with my 350, stuck clutch which I freed easily, but it immediately started to slip and now won't move on that side. If...
