9300 backhoe
Does anyone have any idea on how to retrofit a diverter valve from an older 450 loader to make it work on a 450C dozer with 6 way blade? This is for adding on a 9300 hoe attachment.

Re: I won't say no, but it is not a Deere.
Just had a chance to buy a pristene looking partially restored D2 stored inside a garage for supposedly 20 years. It was part of a deal where I did buy a 450C track loader but the seller was extremely unscroupulous, uncaring, and basically just a royal POS, so I just got what I really wanted and left.

Re: 450C injection pump issues
I believe the official name in my parts book is baffle.I'll have to look at it more closely to explain furthur. On a related note--it seems on a C model, the turbo is for HP increasing. On my D dozer, it is an altitude compensating turbo which would make sense because it originally came from out West...

Re: 450C injection pump issues
Well, I just put that tube back in place, not a big deal as I got all the gunk out woth it in place.Had lots of water in the left steering clutch box, some in the right.Took 5-6 flushings with oil to finally push it all out.The final drive oil was water free, pretty clean at that, all the oils and f...

Re: Mouse House and Buffet
The real problem is that all the insulation on wire these days is soy based and mice just love that stuff.I've had 2 Duramax Chevys where the little varmints got inside the computer terminal under the hood and chewed up a bunch of those 16-20 gauge wires.

Re: JD450C Track Plate Bolts
He asked on a loader Amos, NOT a dozer, might be a difference, not sure but mine do measure 1.5", must have been dark or time to see the eye doc, or both.

Re: 550 water in transmission
The tranny cooler is usually a separate add on alongside the radiator that has hydraulic oil in it that gets cooled by the fan.The water in your tranny didn't come from either that or the radiator.Condensation is usually the culprit.

Re: 450C injection pump issues
Well, she runs like a Deere should, no issues other than a few minor leaks which were taken care of. O&C is the cat's AZZ, they earned my biz big time. On another matter does anyone know how the transmission screen/filter mounting tube comes out of it's perch? I can pull it out 3" or so but then it ...
