410C bachoe problem

I have metal flakes in the transmission oil that covered the transmission pump input screen. The screen was covered with small flakes that are very thin like they have passed between gears and flattened. I suspeded the rivets (known problem with other machines) fastening the ring gear to the spider ...

splitting tracks

I have split several JD tracks. I used a piece of 1" round stock about a foot long with about a 3 foot piece of rebar welded at 90 degrees near the end. One person hold the round stock on the master pin and the other stands on the track with a huge sledge hammer. Nothing short of that was successful...

turbo version

The non turbo uses different cylinder liners that are not as heavy. There may be other differences also. I would suggest checking the parts list for a 2440 ag tractor, those are non turbo, and compare them with your tractor.

ID tag

I had a 450 with a missing tag. You can get a replacement from JD but a service rep has to come out to verify the number and install it. The secondary number was stamped on the transmission case housing. JD will know where it was stamped on your machine. If the tractor has been painted, the numbers ...

All of the wiring on a 350D is in a wiring harness. If theire is a single wire from the alternator going foreward, it is something that has been added.

Was the tractor a former rental that maybe had a remote hour meter or some other device?

I would just ignore and remove it.

the hood and front shroud has to come off. You will need an engine hoist for the front shroud.

I just read your post again and the leak in the fwd left corner. There are also hoses on each line there. You may not need to drop the belly pan. I don't remember exactly but you may be able to enter by removing the grille. Worse case, you pull the front shroud.

I completely rebuilt an early 350 once and I remember that the oil cooler lines were in two sections with a hose and clamps between the two lines. The newer models eliminated the hoses and use metal to metal connectors and a longer front line. That is indeed the most likely source of a leak and just...

Ripper

A ripper on a 350 is not a very efficient method of loosening the soil. It will help if the soil is VERY hard where other methods wont work. I use an ag tractor and disc to loosen. A 350 will not do much digging and pushing at the same time. You can disk 4 to 5 inches and the 350 will push loose dir...
