Hi, Oh, yeah! It was only funny because (a) it was on TV and (b) it wasn't *me*! :P When I was a teenager, the farm I worked part-time on had a pair of 3010 crawlers (no blades or loaders) that they used only for yanking out stuck tractors. It was a 15k acre operation sitting in between two ridges (...

Hi, The 350 series only went up as far as the 'D' series, so the 'CE' can't stand for it being Crawler, E-series. There was an 'economy' variant for the B-series that I recall. Perhaps this is what the 'E' means. Not that I know what one did not get on the machine to make it a less costly Economy va...

Hi,

Shoot, they've used that basic engine in all sorts of equipment from 1965 until now. Parts are like popcorn on the floor of the movie house. Like Lavoy says, grab and go! ;)

Hi,

Maw dang. If you were closer, I'd come over and get it going. But, ME is a tad too far from NC.....

BTW, the blade, is that and inside-mount or an outside-mount manual angle/tilt blade?

Hi, There is no upload option. There is no storage space for photos on this site. You have to store the photos on an on-line hosting site and then link from here to there. That's the way it works with most messageboards. I use Photobucket. Once you have photos online, you then use the img form of th...

Hi, Thanks, I think! :P I have spent a lot of time there, so it's not going to be entirely a surprise. As it stands now, we won't be moving entirely for a while, but I will be in an apartment and be there a lot more than I am here. If the new engineering job works out, then eventually my wife can se...

Hi, You don't have an issue, it's just that you can't upload photos onto the site. You have to upload them to some place like Photobucket and then link them from there to here. It's pretty much the same for most message boards, but because a few do allow uploading it causes confusion elsewhere. ;) l...

1958 420c phase-III w/62 blade

Hi, Things are changing for me once again. Looks like I'll be working in the Dallas, TX area for a while. Might even, eventually, make a permanent move. I don't know for sure yet. I just know it will be for a couple of years. To that end, I don't think I want to be hauling dad's old 420c all over th...

Hi, Ah, yes. The defective new sparking plug. What fun to t-shoot that when it happens. It can't be the plugs, they're new...... :( I found out a long time ago that if these things run too lean, then they tend to cause the ceramic insulators on brand-new spark plugs to crack after just a few minutes...

Hi,

Does this mean we can say that the Lindemann is bad to the core?

Horrible pun, but I could not resist saying it! :P

Not that this helps in any way, but maybe it will get you to crack a smile about the problem. ;)

Mine is gas, and thanks for the input. I can't seem to find the part number of the air filter. Also can you give me any links for crawler junkyards? Hi, I think I'm missing something here. You say you can't find the p/n of the air filter, yet you posted a photo of the parts manual that lists the fi...

Hi,

I once had a first-generation Struck (magnatrac) and this is not the same at all. I have never seen a mini-dozer that looks like this, so I'm no help, either....

Hi, If you look at the bottom of the filter mount, you'll see a stepped part of the cast iron where the filter element bottom sits. The metal plate center hole has to fit over the small diameter of the step, and rest on the large diameter. The OD of the plate is just a but smaller than the paper fil...
