Reverser or Transmission Bearings

I have seen the creep in reverse before in a 450C, which ended up being bad bearings in the HLR, which would be comparable to the reverser in a 350. Leak on the side of the reverser would be from the reverse valve block, start with the external steel hydraulic lines as they have a habit of leaking. ...

In Edmonton Alberta

I do have a winch for sale, but it is along ways away. I purchased a 350b that had a small underhood fire and will sell the winch separate. Let me know if you are interested, as i am looking for $2,500 CND for it and wil include the shaft and cover if you need it, plus the mounting brackets, lever, ...

Ya, its starting to get out of control

All were runners and were drivin into the sheds. Very few are painted, he is going for quanitity. I picked up the exact machine you are posting here but with a factory winch for $4K about 15 years ago. It had brand new undercarriage. It was on consigment at the deere AG dealer, we drove two hours to...

If only it was in Edmonton, Alberta

These are a real popular collector machine in Alberta. I personally would want $7K plus for it. Dozer are getting really scarce, too many old guys with them sitting in the shed. My dad is one of them, if he buys a green crawler it absolutely goes in the shed along with a few yellow ones. He is at ov...

You are somewhat right Ken

I am used to having the parts on the shelf and done the repairs many times. I was giving a value in running and moving condition, start deducting for things that are wrong. The crawler and hoe do look to be in good shape for the year. I would want to very that is does have the turbo engine and look ...

Value in Western Canada

If i had that machine, and it ran, worked and turn well, i would expect to get $8,500 a set of 50% rails/pads and no backhoe. I would then want $2K in cash for the pads and rails and the backhoe is always worth $3K. I seen a painted up one for for $8K this spring at Ritchie Bros. Add it all up and i...

If it were closer...

I would pay $3,500 if it wasn't 1,000 miles away and would either wreck it or fix it. If i had this unit running and moving in Edmonton Alberta i would be asking $8K for it and would probably get it as soon as it snows. Maybe there are just more crawlers down south... There are very few available fo...

Fluid

We use THG (Transmission Hydraulic Gear) since the early 80's in place of 303. Much cheaper and available at Walmart. Never had any issues with poor lubrication or function on everthing from 350C and 450C crawlers and 440 and 540 skidders.

Fuel Issues

I would check both the fuel return line and also the return line fitting coming out of the injection pump.

Had similar issues on a few engines. Very frustrating to find the real issue after installing a different injection pump.

Caterpillar Oils

Our D6C uses the same oil for the engine, hydraulics and transmision. It is a cat grade 30 weight engine oil. This is what is requires, so this is what we use. Available at Walmart cheap, but they don't get it in big quanitities, so i buy some everytime i go. Best to stick with what is required by e...

Go with the crawler

For farm use, i always recomend a loader machine but everyone wants a dozer for some reason. We run angle dozers on 350C wide pad loader machines and find them alot more useful on the farm and on the job site than our dozer machines. I think i can do a better job grading with the loader machine anyw...

350 vs 350C

I don't think any 350 came with a factory turbo, is they did we would have them in our 350C widepads. The turbo comment is correct for the 450's, althougt the late 450B's had turbos as well. Best to check under the seat. 1. If the steering cluch levers attach directly to the steering cluch cases it ...

Tractor looks to be in real nice original shape. I would want at least $5-7K for it, that is up here in Canada eh.

Washers

There are washers on both sides of the injector lines. If you still have a problem you may want to dissassemble and clean or install new washers. I think that they are copper, but not sure.[/i]

Too Cheap

Maybe parts crawlers are cheaper in the states, but up here in Alberta Canada I would gladly pay $2K for it.

They are not making any new ones like it and parts are getting harder to find.
