Looking at a 350B ...anything you see that says..RUN!!?

Going to look at a 1971 350B with a 6 way blade tomorrow, which is mainly what we want to transfer to our '65 350 which has a 6310 on it now. The 350B has the 6305 6 way blade, overall it looks pretty crappy but looking past the rustyness, I think the undercarriage is usable, it's supposed to run, b...

Re: Will inside 6 way blade transfer to manual blade machine

Thanks, in the last few days I managed to find pictures of the mounting points for the 6 way inside blade, now I just need to make a deal on the machine and get it home. Will post some pics shortly.

Thanks

Will inside 6 way blade transfer to manual blade machine

Well, we found another machine😳👍 and are mainly interested in the 6 way blade it comes with. It’s a 350BE which tells me it came as an inside blade from the factory, s/n tells me 1971. We have a very nice ‘65 350 with the 6310 blade. The machine in question is in pretty rough condition, runs, moves ...

Re: Roller grease and guns

Thanks boys, Well, there are no rubber seals visible on my 2 button head guns, I am going to search the web for pics to see what they look like and where they should be. That could be the problem, the idlers accepted grease just fine as did the upper track roller. I'll also try the awl trick, thanks...

Re: Roller grease and guns

Thanks Stan appreciate the reply. I think I’ll investigate each gun a little bit further although the one that is painted John Deere green is probably safe to assume that it’s a low pressure gun and that is the superior gun. I tried to set the track tension today and when I put the button head fitti...

Re: Roller grease and guns

Good morning all, I would like to add to this discussion, I found EP-0 NLGI#0 grease at our local ag dealer, after finding out that my main button head gun was loaded with EP2...ooops. Anyway that got me thinking what my 2 button head guns actually are, so into the parts cleaner they went and 10 min...

Re: Rebuilding my IP need some guidance pilot tube depth

Good gravy, It's been a year since I rebuilt this an realized I didn't update you on the success... It was a success. :D Just finished plowing the neighbours driveway for the 3rd time in the last few weeks and was thinking how smooth it is now...no missing, stumble or anything. It was a pretty simpl...

WoW! Stefan, very impressive!

Very inspiring. I could probably do something like that with my 350. What did you use for hydraulic controls?

Good work!!

Hey Idaho,

Any updates on your machine? Did you get the pins repaired/rebushed? Would still like to see more pics of your machine.

Cheers

Well I took my 1965 350 over the scales last week, but mine has the outside mounted manual blade and 3310 winch, my weight was 11,700lbs. Seems they always weigh more than the spec sheet states.

Here it is all apart, well as far as I needed to take it apart. I didn't take apart the head end as I didn't need to, but I have had them apart before and it's nothing complicated. Digi pics are a good backup if it's going to be apart for more than a few days. Cheers http://www3.telus.net/rad...

Thanks, I have the same manual but couldn't interpret what they meant, .045 or .315. I found web pictures showing a vast amount of difference so I ended up pressing it in so it is flush on the inside of the housing. It's all back together and runs soooo smoooooth now. Not sure if it was because the ...

Rebuilding my IP need some guidance pilot tube depth

Hi guys, Finally getting around to rebuilding the IP on my 1965 350...it's all apart on the bench and have pressed out the pilot tube, but didn't realize the depth was critical and didn't measure it before I removed it. As I don't have the mandrel spacer 16315, could someone please tell me what amou...

Wow! That is a nice restoration. I missed it in 2011, but what a great job! It sure is nice to see a machine all broken down and so well documented. Makes it a lot easier to see how everything fits together. I have a 3310 winch to rebuild, not sure the differences between the 3310 and 3315 but it's ...
