Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

Diesel!? No wonder it wont run now haha. I fixed the wording in my previous post. I took a closer look and no vent line. It wouldnt surprise me if the po replaced it with the wrong one. There are all kinds of rigged repairs on this thing. Also I havent figured out if they are wet or dry clutches yet...

Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

I ended up purchasing some manuals from the link I posted. The duplicate in French is annoying to deal with but other then that, so far so good. Tech, parts and operators. The manual specified the type of loader brace to use during service or to use (2) 24" pieces of 4"x4" steel angle. I had some la...

Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

Finally started working on the crawler today. Trammed it from the barn to the house and found I really need to tighten the cab up. It rattles at an unbearable decibel level. Anyway I checked that tag by the battery. Made in Germany 450AA 102694L John Deere Werks Mannheim Good thing I started going t...

Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

Thanks, I hope to get that tag number later this week. Work has been crazy and I havent been able to get to the barn for a few days. I also contacted that farm manual website to see about the publication number. Update: They said its TM4241 TM4242 John Deere site says tech manual is: TM4241 TM4242_I...

Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

Filters and orings showed up this evening. Just need to get fluids and a manual then I can complete the service.

Have any of you dealt with this group before for manuals? Thinking about getting this one:

Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

Interesting. This machine seems fairly optioned out/loaded. It has a backhoe thats on a slide, cab with heat + windshield wiper and looks like it had a 4 in 1 bucket.

Holes in the boom are likely for the ejector bucket option.

Could you elaborate a bit more on this? I haven't heard of it before.

Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

Great spot! I'll check it out when I run out to the farm over the weekend.

I already ordered the hydraulic filter. Part# AT45422. We'll see if that fits.

Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

I'd like to talk a little bit about the loader as well. Looks like something bad happened at some point based on all of this plate patch work. http://jdcrawlers.lcent.com:8000/johndeere/albums/userpics/10047/Loader_arm_repair.jpg I also wonder if this loader had the Drott 4-1 bucket at some point. Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

Also can someone confirm what the holes in the boom are for? I assume its for a brace to be used when not operational but wasn't sure. http://jdcrawlers.lcent.com:8000/johndeere/albums/userpics/10047/Boom.jpg http://jdcrawlers.lcent.com:8000/johndeere/albums/userpics/10047/Boom_2.jpg Planning to wel...

Re: JD 450 tune up (Euro Market)

Very helpful information! Yes it has the spin on filter in front of the radiator. I already ordered a replacement filter for that. http://jdcrawlers.lcent.com:8000/johndeere/albums/userpics/10047/Transmission_Filter.jpg I also ordered new hydraulic filters. It looks washable but I rather be safe sin...
