I must be living right as we got enough rain to water my garden well but not enough to drown it.Wind lasted an hour and no hail. Cool with low to be high 30's th...

Re: To buy or not to buy
$4500.00 and needing more serious(and probably expensive) repairs not to mention the teardown and reassembly time.Plus it's from a friend. For the sake of the friendship I would pass. Not worth losing a friend over a dozer repair job. Looking at offerings and tossing out the high and low priced unit...

Re: 450b Undercarriage rebuild and steer clutches
Morning Will, You do have a good project on your hands. On your specific question I don't have a clue but I would like to give you a "priority list'" on eval and how to plan for the rebuild. By cost, hours to repair, and difficulty: transmission steering clutches and brakes track group engine hydrauli...

Re: JD 455G Crawler Loader Questions.
have to pipe in on this one: Crawler loader versus dozer: loaders are for loading and dozers are for dozing. If you're to be loading or moving dirt, stone, any sort of loose material then a loader is the correct machine. if you're going to be knocking down trees, digging into virgin ground, doing hard pu...
