Re: Name that Hoe

That is a 9550 serial number. I have seen a number of attachments with the model and serial numbers run together as one.

Re: JD 450C - Won't start after fuel system work

I would try cracking the injector lines from the pump loose at the injectors again. it may have moved air into them as the system bled out.

Is the battery still cranking it good? You may need to give it a boost to keep it spinning fast.

Re: Name that Hoe

I do not know of any "open to the public serial number listings for attachments (or a lot of equipment). Your dealer might be able to find out something, but even that won't be easy I am going to guess. If it has 9550 on the tag, I am pretty sure it is a 9550. Use the link below to go to the Parts C...

Always worth asking. He deals in the older ones primarily, but he knows his suppliers and has access to more if he doesn't stock something.

Re: ROPS mount

I am sure you know this, but those holes should be drilled. torched holes can lead to cracking, quicker than drilled holes.

Re: ROPS mount

I mentioned web search this morning here are a couple videos (and you can find more) that show a couple different mounts attached to the frame of the inside dozer below and behind the blade lift cylinders. Mounts will vary with the canopy manufacturer; it's not a one mount for all. https://www.bing....

Re: ROPS mount

Someone may be around at some point with pictures for you. In the meantime. I believe the straight 350 was before the ROPS requirements so any that have ROPS are retrofits. Without a given manufacturer's info for mounting their structure one doesn't have any idea of structure strength, as the entire...

Re: JD 455G backhoe

Welcome to the Boards. Be aware of the fact that your 455G is very much on the new side of what most of us here are familiar with, so you may not be overwhelmed with info. The 455G uses gear pumps, it is open center. The 1010s were open center. Leonard has headed you in the right direction. You will...

Re: JD 350B Diesel Wiring ?

I agree, nothing special. You need one 10 or 12-gauge wire which your external alternator should already have hooked to its battery post. Especially with a one wire alternator you want a small diameter pulley of the right width for the stock fanbelt.

Re: 350 hour meter wiring

It needs to be powered from a switch power source Leonard posted. The key switch or the power side of a voltmeter would work. An ammeter generally stays live all the time so I would avoid hooking to ammeter wire terminals.

Re: Should I buy it?

If you do purchase it, future posts about it should be made on the Early Models Board at the top of the list. A moderator may move this thread up there when it is seen.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Re: Should I buy it?

My personal thoughts: I wouldn't. The 2010 was built 1961 to 1965, with no follow up models such as a 2010B and in general was not very successful, in either the AG or industrial side. It was totally replaced by the 450. The engines in the 1010 and 2010 machines were John Deere's entrance to four-cy...

Re: Track pins

Be very careful of getting down into an un-shored pit, with or without a crawler straddling it. A soil slip could be fatal.
