Re: John Deere 555A hydraulic oil filling transmission housing
Welcome to the Boards. Hydraulic pump seal gone bad is the most likely scenario based on your description. Just a bit of housekeeping on the Board. You thread about a 555A should be on the Late Models Board, which is for the 350 models and newer. This Early Models Board is for the 2010 crawlers and ...

Re: Identify year of production for a JD 350C dozer
Welcome to the Boards. On the housekeeping side of things posts about your 350C should be on the Late Models Board. This board is for questions and announcements related to the site, not crawler questions. A Moderator will likely move it over there when it is seen. 224755 is a 1975 serial number. Th...

You can download the Operator's Manual for free at the JD Construction and Forestry Bookstore, as well as see the other manuals available for your machine and their prices. Click on this link to go to the Bookstore. John Deere Construction and Forestry Bookstore Type 450C in the "Model" search box t...

Re: Hood issues
Welcome to the Boards. Do you have the manuals for your 450C? If you don't know about this, you can use the online parts catalog for your 450C at jdparts.com. Here is a link to the online parts catalog if you don't have it. If you don't have the Operator's Manual (OMT71338 for a dozer) and Technical...

Re: 450G engine coolant temp warning
Welcome to the Boards. Your 450G is on the new side of most here so only a few actually have one of those. In general, I will say 5 minutes of idling wouldn't start to warm it up, so it is not likely you would see any circulation anyway. It sounds like an electrical issue to me. I would use a handhe...

Re: Oil filters for JD 2010 from napa?
Interesting AT15282 shows as "This is a valid competitive part number and there is no replacement at this time." on the WIX site. Checking 57031 0n the WIX site, it shows as discontinued. Neither Baldwin or Donaldson cross either the JD or WIX numbers. It is certainly worth asking about the 57031 (N...

Re: Oil filters for JD 2010 from napa?
You can find the John Deere filter numbers in the parts catalog and either of those stores should be able to cross the JD numbers. Sometimes there are filters that don't cross, but these do. The engine oil filter is AH1111RT. Wix crosses it to a 51148 (NAPA 1148). The two fuel filters both show as A...

Re: steering not working
Welcome to the Boards. FYI. If you look at flyboy's info he has not been seen (logged in) in almost 4 years. He might respond but most likely won't. Old threads are good for info but often a new thread of your own gets better results. You should better describe what the clutches are or are not doing...

Re: 350 b seal replacement
Welcome to the Boards. Lavoy Wilcox, who provides this site for our use, is in business selling parts and repairing JD crawlers. He focuses mainly on the older one, however I expect he can help you with parts and a technical manual for your 350B. You should get the manual to guide you through the se...

Re: John deere 2010 dozer
Welcome to the boards. It sounds like a full adjustment of the engine clutch and steering clutches would be a good starting point. It is not a just turn one thing to adjust the steering clutches, you need the manual to follow, do all the steps in the order given. You can download a free pdf copy of ...

As long as you do not turn the engine or the pump you should be able to slide it back, replace the seals, then slide the pump back into place.

Re: 1010 exchange
I believe the base engines will interchange, there may be differences in the engine accessories. You can go to JDparts.com and bring up the parts catalogs for the tractor and your crawler and compare components.

Re: HLR Temp Gauge Sensor
The sending unit is right in the cover over the transmission suction screen and not in a thermowell, so yes, if you pull the sending unit out the oil will come out. I think that sending unit is 1/2" NPT so the oil will come out quickly.

Re: HLR Temp Gauge Sensor
In theory you can install a mechanical gauge. The unknowns to me are: Is there room enough for a mechanical sensor bulb inside the housing at the location of the electric sensor and getting a gauge with a capillary tube of the correct length. Your service manual should give you some info on testing ...

Send an email to Lavoy (postmaster@jdcrawlers) or give him a call at 701-361-1006 during CST business hours. He has said before he prefers those methods for part inquires rather than posting on the boards, too easy to miss such.
