I put in the pto shaft in my early 450 last night. I picked up a winch and log arch and pto shaft this summer. Theirs no pto lever and people have told me that I should be able to just put the shaft in and it will run all the time. Well it the pto shaft doesn't run. Did they make 450's with no gears...

is your shop heated? where about's are you located. We have had guys at work fill the equipment full of fuel outside in the -20 and bring then into a heated shop and leak fuel out the filler caps.

They might be oil filled. Is their a small 1/8" pipe plug in the center of the idler shaft?

Im going to rebuild and modify my 6410 blade to full hydraulic six-way in the spring. just picked up a used t bar valve two months ago.

Has anyone used bolt/slip on rubber track pads on a john deere 450 to plow snow on a asphalt driveway or ran them in the dirt?
