450C. Looking for T15070

I will be removing a winch drive and i would like the 3 bolt cover to close up the case where the winch drive was removed. I believe the part number is T15070. Thank you. Bruce

Main clutch disk is frozen. Are you able to out it into gear with the engine off. Maybe just bumping the starter to get it into gear. Be careful if you start it in gear. If your clutch disk is stuck the only way you csn stop is to pull both levers or kill the engine. Disks can come loose with use.

I have not heard or been taught that about excavator traveling. I have been schooled about "not digging on the travel motors." I was taught to walk all of the track equipment backwards. I asked why, which can be dangerous when you are young around older experienced operators. They stated it would ev...

I have done a little research and i believe there is a pipe plug on the right side of the winch. Remove this pipe plug and fill until oil comes out.

I would use JD hydrualic oil or equivalent. I'm not sure how much, sorry. The oil is poured in the bung hole on the top right side of the winch. If it has been idle for any period of time, it may be helpful to remove the cast plate on the bottom right to clean the small pickup screen, before you put ...

Now would be the time to decide if you want to do a common sump conversion. I believe you are correct in your theory. Non-use is a terrible thing on a machine, people included. Bruce

I believe that is a reasonable price for that machine. Especially if you have work for it to do. Bruce

Some of the after market chains have a two piece master link. No master pin, but a serarated two piece link that fits together and the track pad bolts run down through the track pad into the link and holds it together. Bruce

Fun this came up. My brother in law lives in California and is planning on moving back to the midwest. Last fall he drove the GT500KR back to Iowa and asked me to store it inside the shop over the winter. Im now getting ready to drive it, just to make sure the battery is charging, of course. They ar...

I agree, the dump truck is stuck in soft soil. I think they unloaded because they had to, not because they wanted to. I gaurentee if i nosed the bucket with teeth down in the ground that close to a tree, i would have definitely hit a LARGE root. Then the truck is stuck, I'm half unloaded, bucket bur...
