450E ROPS is the newer style wider version canopy. Have not seen an enclosed one in person but the console area is different from a 450C.
The enclosed cab for a 450C and older machines mounts to the fenders.

Re: Disasembly Weights and dimensions for Transport by Bushplane
We have an International Midgi with dozer. Smaller and lighter than any Deere crawler and purpose built for light transport into fly in locations. It’s taking up shed room if anyone is looking for one. We have sold a few 450C’s that were disassembled and flown into remote locations in the Yukon. Whe...

Re: 350B winch
Yes. You just won’t be able to back up and winch in at the same time. Reverser has to be in forward for the winch to function.

Re: Putting a 3325 winch on a 550g
I hope you are a machinist or access to a reasonable one. You will need custom mounting brackets, the factory Deere winch receiving plate (4 bolt cover), then an adapter drive coupling to make this work. A 3325 is not sufficient for the pulling power of a day one 450 or 550, so not really adequate f...

Re: Algae in the transmission fluid JD 550G
The winches on G series Crawlers are common oil. There is a high pressure supply and return along with a case drain bottom middle of the winch back to the tranny. I would pull the winch and the back cover on the transmission and then clean it with an appropriate solvent. Your transmission filter is ...

Re: Moving a 3325 winch from a 450C to a 550B
PTO shaft slides right in like your 450.
Exact same mounting as the 450, so yes it will fit. Uses the same style control cable, might be longer. Control handle will work as well.

Re: 4.219D to 4.039T swap possible in 450B?
I’m shocked as you don’t have any 4-219’s available in your area. A 4-239 natural will be a power upgrade from a 4-219T. I have engines here in Edmonton Alberta but shipping would be offensive. Think I’m going to put a 276 in my 440B powershift skidder. Have to pull the engine to fix a major hydraul...

Re: Engine removal 450C
You do not need to pull the loader to pull the engine. You need to raise your loader and install a brace on a lift cylinder.

Re: 550G Torque Converter Leaking
I’ll let you know in a few months. Have the same issue on a 450G. We have the dozer and cab off it make it a bit easier. We plan to pull the whole engine and torque assembly and swap out the entire torque and convertor with one on hand from a machine that had an engine fire

Re: John Deere 440 icd advice
It will most likely be a cracked head. You should tell me where it’s at and I’ll check it out for you? Detroit’s are a very basic engine. 253 parts are getting hard to come by, the common parts with 353, 453, etc are all readily available. We used to sell a lot of Detroit engines, now maybe 1 or 2 i...

If you pass on it and it’s close I would buy it. I’m in Edmonton area and always looking for machines to wreck and rebuild.

Re: Looking to buy a 350B
We shut down our utility construction business 4 years ago when my dad turned 70 and this keeps him busy in the shop. I only get out there 1 day a week now. We have lots of parts left over from machines we wrecked to rebuild our working machines. We have been consistently fixing, rebuilding and sell...

Re: 450C engine in 450B?
The only issues you run into are the intake plumbing into turbo. Otherwise it’s a direct bolt in. I would recommend going with a 4-239 which is the replacement for the 4-219. It has more torque and they start better. We did a 4-219 turbo to 4-239 swap in one of our yard use 450C loaders a few years ...

Re: Looking to buy a 350B
The undercarriage looks good to me based on the position of the idler. The undercarriage is most likely worth more than the current price. Has anyone priced out idlers lately? So if a guy wanted a 350, this would be a good parts machine to have on hand. These are loader pads with growers added on. I...

Are you looking for a PTO shaft or a winch drive shaft. Winch drive shafts should be readily available.
