I am going to keep my crawler 6v Found a guy who rebuilt the gen for 50$ .
The problem that I have know is that there is no voltage regulator on it(last owner took it off) .I have a new one for it but I don't know how to wire it up can someone help me with that ,It has 4 post on it

have a JD 40c and the 6v generator is bad .I looked at replacing it with a 12v alt but it looks like putting a alt in will require a lot of modification for a new bracket .Does anyone have photos of a new bracket e.Or does someone sell a 12 alt that will fit?Or Can i rebuild the old gen myself ?For ...

I think I found my problem .The support arm that comes up too the motor ( i call it bell housing) was missing the bolt on the right side .And that was letting the whole motor to move around. But my problem now is I put a ¾ bolt in too it and it will not tighten up just as you think it is getting tig...
